Hey everyone, I'm and Australian fan who is pretty much a PCM noobie. I borrowed '08 from my local library as that was the only copy avalible, but with my limited time I tended to sim a few to many races in the hope of completing a season with my limited time with the disk. Besides, my computer was pretty crappy and it's gone anyway, so it's not like I can borrow it again just to continue playing.
So anyway, this takes me to PCM 11. As far as I'm concerned, a disk option isn't availible in Australia so I'm gonna have to download. This leads me to the first of my few questions, which I'm going to number for easy answers:
1. What is the cheapest legal download for Australians?
However, I have a new problem. My personal computer doesn't have internet (I'm only 14, I'm going to get a job soon to save up for internet soon), and my parents have let me download the game, but not play it on the computer which has the download:
2. Is it possible to download straight onto a External Hard Drive, drop the Hard Drive into another computer, then put it straight onto my personal computer, so I don't have to steal my parent's Hard Drive everytime I want to play?
When I do get around to downloading it somehow, I'll spend the six months mucking around, understanding both how to play the game on the inside as well as editing it on the outside. That leads me to my third and final question:
3. Is there a easy guide to DB editing? I'm not really interested in rider's stats, teams and that, and besides the easy DB editer is easy to use anyway. I'm talking more like creating new teams, stages and editing them into career mode. As well as changing career mode.
I've been moderators and senior members at various other forums, and this one seems up there with the best. There could be other changes, but I'm not going to go into that now!
Any other questions, feel free to drop me a PM - there is a whole lot more I could say.
PS: I learn German at school, any German members ready to help me improve?
2. Yes. The download version comes with four installation files. These can be copied to a USB / external hard drive and installed on any computer.
3. There's not really a guide to "editing", as that would be a lot of pages. With the editor that comes with the game, it's pretty easy and self-explanatory to add teams, and should you wish to dig deeper into the DB, it's just a matter of asking

There will not need access to the internet to activate the game during installation...?
