I started the game, downloaded the patch, the advertisement came up and after that my windows gets blue. It is not a blue screen of death (or what is it called). Any ideas?
Have tried this:
black or white screen at the start, or crash
For many reasons, Pro cycling Manager may not start properly. Here are some tricks to try to solve the problem :
-launch the game in admin mode;
-shut down the antivirus : some antivirus simply cut the applications with no warning;
-launch the game from Program files instead of autorun.
-skip the start videos : A codec problem may prevent the game from starting. You can rename the 'videos' folder in your installation folder.
-Change the 'my documents' folder : rename your 'Pro Cycling Manager 2011' folder in 'my documents', but don't delete it ! if the game starts, a new Pro Cycling Manager 2011 folder will be built. You can then try to add the files from the former folder and identify which file is corrupted. Most of the time, the murderer is 'local.cdb'.
Exept the two first ones... |

It could be related to the screen resolution, what screen resolution do you have? Find it out, then enter it manually into the config file: My documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\Config\GraphicConfiguration.xml
I really recommend turning of the AV because it might block the game. And it cannot be bad to run the game as admin. |

To run the game as admin you need to right click it, then select "Run as admin". Assuming that you are admin of your computer. If you are not, then ask the admin to test the game to see if that is causing the problems. (Hint: This only applies to Windows Vista or Windows 7, in earlier versions the game will run as admin automatically)
Normally, if you right-click the AV icon in the bar at the bottom to the right, there is an option to deactivate it. Else read the manual of your AV to find out how to turn it off. |

My screen resolution is 1280 x 1024. Tried to enter it into the config file. Did not work. What was the resolution before i entered mine? xD Cant remember.

If you cannot remember, then delete the pcm folder (the one in my documents) and the game will create a new default file |
