No, the achievements have nothing to do with the career, so it doesn't influence anything within the actual game.

it would be nice to have something unlocked, i would consider going after them. like it is now, i won't even bother looking at them.
almost a good thing.

PS3 and XBox have achivements and it never unlocks anything. It is just a thingy to make the games last longer (so that they can write on the box "long lasting fun for 25 hours" because modern single player games tend to be very short.)
This game really don't need it because you can play for 100 hours without getting bored. |
