Contador is always a favorite, but he is still a good minute and a half behind most of the others favorites, and is supposedly suffering from knee problems from all of his earlier crashes. He seems to still have a little of the Giro still holding him back, and thats why he seemed vulnerable in the Pyreness. If he isn't in top form by the time the mountains return I think Cadel is set up bst, since Andy and Frank can't decide who the leader is, or Basso since he waited till now to get into real racing shape. It's mostly about stages 19 & 20, those are the stages that will make or break Contador's Tour |

Yeah, he looked fantastic and completley unbeatable during the Giro, but it was a really tough race. I'm not counting him out, he is one if the not the greatest grand tour racer of his generation and is always a threat, having already won the Tour three times, but he did win what may have been the toughest Giro ever, and there isn't alot of time to recover between May and July if you want to stay in shape. So we'll just have to see soon whether he can pull it off And thanks for the answer about the leisure camps. Oh, and since I see that you are looking for a possible grand tour winning american, what do you think about Tejay Van Garderen? And a side note, Taylor Phinney (may be the next Cancellara) |

Evans will win, unless Leopard changes their stupid tactics and lets Fränk help Andy instead of them both waiting for eachother.

Frank will fall of, and Andy will realise that he needs to attack and forget about his brother.

They will neutralise each other and Voeckler will win with a few seconds in front of Evans At least it would be great if it ends like this Andy won't be able to make a big enough gap on Evans and Contador is just to tired after the Giro. Today will Voeckler gain at least 20s when attacking downhill with Samu

Well, Andy don't have a better chance of winning the Tour then this year. Contador is injured and tired after the Giro and a lot of the other contenders is gone. So it's now, or maybe never.

I have my money on Contador aswell... They gave him the opportunity to get better, and he should always try to peak in the 3rd week, after racing the Giro...

Contador is injured, but Gesink's injury is more serious.
I think Andrew can't lose this, but he's definitely trying hard.

Peter Velits will gain 15 minutes in a breakaway on Alpe d'Huez stage and he'll win this.
I still believe Andy will win this, but he needs to start racing for himself in Alps, not for his brother like in Pyrenees.
