hey guys, so I recently brought pcm11 and absolutley love it. this is first pcm game so am still learning a few things which is natural.
It took me quite a few goes before getting the hand of things but i now its a pleasure to take a team to a tour. winning the tour de france with andy schelck for example felt so fulfilling.
one thing i'm still not to sure about is the use of the energy gel, like when the best time to use is and what it actually does and how long it last for. does it effect different types of riders in different ways. |

It gives the rider a little boost for a couple of seconds. I use it for sprints and attacks on hilly races. Not sure it makes too much difference though.

If you use it prior to an attack, you will notice that your rider gets a "green flash" when he attacks, which means that he can attack for longer.
It's also suitable for sprints. |

yeah thats what i thought, just wasn't too sure when the exact best time to use was
i mean with a sprinter for instance i gather i could use the gel on the others in the lead out train but when you click on the gel it takes a little while before it starts so with Bennati (or any other sprinter) what time/ distance would you normaly click on the gel bar say 2km,1.5 km
i know all of this willl be dependant on different varibles and each race is different but i asking in general |

I believe the gel takes about 3km to hit in on a full speed peleton so use it at about 3.5-4km for it to be helping you in the final sprint |

the green flash also happens without using the gel. |

Yes, but if you use the gel, then you can make it flash. Else it is random. |

In the case of Bennatti, hit the gel at the 20 km mark. He is a bit on the slow side, mentally. (Irony alert.)
Is the green flash completely random, if the gel is not used before the attack? Or is it affected by morale, for instance? And what does morale do exactly? The last three stages, my attacks with Gilbert have been granted green flashes - and his morale is "under the moon" - so I figured perhaps there was a certain coherence to this aspect? |

Cyanide says that a higher Fighter stat does increase the chances of getting a "green moment" but Sobrano says it is not true.

it is not true from 2007 edition
i tested it every pcm edition and only pcm2006 had FTR active for human raiders...
i think cyanide at least should change the name of acceleration, because the definition of acceleration is (v/t) speed per time unit.
acc in pcm 2007-2011 dont respect this definition |
