Whats with the finances?

What happened. I just started my first PCM11 game and like previous versions I got 650k euro to recruit riders on setting 10. However prices for riders are much lower than pcm10 and b4.
I was able to get a bunch of top riders. Both Schleck brothers + Hushovd, Ferrer, Boasson Hagen ++. I had 21 riders over 70 AVG + 4 young riders. Something like that was unthinkable in PCM10 with custom team.
Looks like they have much higher salaries than in pCM10 though. maybe I'll go bankrupt with this overpowered squad?
Should I restart and not spend all of the 650k euro recruiting riders? |

I never used the custom team feature in PCM2011 but I think it is the same as last year. Your budget will be calculated based on the selected riders. If you select less or less expensive riders, the budget in the career will just be lower. So you should not go bankrupt because of the riders. But you might get in trouble if you try to get good trainers for all your riders.

I'm talking about the starting cash to sign riders. Look at this squad, there was no way in hell you could make a squad like that with custom team in pcm10. I could get 7 riders with avg 70+ in pcm 10 and had to pick riders under 60 AVG for the rest when I chose 7 great riders (70+)
However the salary in 2011 is the same as the recruit price in pcm11, while it was much lower than buying price in pcm 10 |

I usually take custom teams I've tried in PCM 2011 with a strong and a weak Team and 2 months later -> Bankrupt. Whatever level I chose for my custom team there is not enough income from the sponsor, I hope it's only for my game...
(I play on normal management diffiuculty)

It is the same issue with a existing team. You will be bankrupt whatever you do. after 2 months. Well, the lvl 3 and 4 Continantal teams anyway. Strange programming. |

If you play on normal management difficulty your sponsor will pay exactly what your riders cost each month so if you have no trainers/scouts/doctors you will have the same income as you have expenses. So how do you go bankrupt? |

it's now possible to make a new team such as leopard trek, that wasn't possible before. It is now up to you if you want a super strong team or a team for the future  |

If you are not able to win races, then play with easy management setting to get more budget. Also you should be able to win intermediate sprints easily. |

Every week there is 4000 Euro Agent costs. There is nothing I can do about that. |

When I start a career, I can't find the setting to change it. I wasn't aware you could.

So it's the case that essentially your budget at the start of the game is enough to cover wages to the end of the season! Bit annoying as I tend to buy some better equipment and sign another trainer straight away...
Looks like I'll have to re-start my career game, but having seen the young rider problem and that the PCMDaily DB isn't out yet then I'd have been doing this sooner or later anyway  |

You should not get into problems with your money if you win some races and perform well overall. (unless you spent thousands on equipment) |

So it will cost me 4000 a week to find me a sponsor which pays me 200.000 a year?

So would you rather have no sponsor? In reality some teams had to quit because they found no new sponsor, I guess they would have paid 40'000 per week happily, if they only found a sponsor.
I think the new sponsor system is much better then the previous system.
The old system was unrealistic and too easy. You just had to win some races and had double the money in the next year.
In this new system you can even continue without searching a new sponsor because the game would suggest three at the end of the year. |
