I have been playing a test-career til the PCM database is released. And I would like to share some findings on waht I discovered.
I started a custom team with only young generated riders. I searched for a new sponsor on the national international and worldwide platform.
I was suprised to find a sorldwide sponsor for my crappy team who offered 5 mil per year!!!
Now, playing in the second season, I hardly hired new good riders, but my sponsor expects me to deliver results that are worthy of the 5 mil. (= results in pro tour races for which I don't receive wildcards)
Nearing the end of the season, the bar indicating the sponsor satisfaction is as red as possible. My team of youngstars is finally evolving to a decent team and I was able to hire some good sprinters for the next season. But I was afraid the sponsor would fire me. But they didn't!
So I believe that the option of getting fired because of bad results is removed as I did not succeed in any objective.(din't try either).
So I think sponsor goals should just be considered to be fun to achieve. But they will not influence you future budget, or manager position in any way.
What about the rider wage budget, did it increase and how much after the first, how much after the second season?
Rider wage budget = the max. allowed money you can spend for all riders together
Good point. I believe it has been raised before, but I think it hasn't been fully cleared up yet.
Does the sponsor confidence influence the budget of the next sponsor you'll be able to find?
In my fourth career season (also only youngsters, custom team) I've got my second sponsor now. My budget went from a narrow 20k per month to an even more narrow 16.6k.
Still, with a minimum of 10 riders on minimum wages and no staff I'm able to hold on.
Over the first three years, the first two have ended without any sponsor confidence too, while the third year my youngsters started to show promising development and I managed a greenish half filled confidence bar.
My guess would be the the lower budget is a result of the average sponsor confidence over the past three years, but this is just a wild guess...
Should my current one year deal run out, and my bar still be green as it is at present, I'll be able to find more evidence for this...

Thanks for you response, combining our experiences we can get an understanding of this.
We I got my new sponsor my fist year. Thanks to a very talented proloque rider, I got some wins in the fist months and took some objectives. So I had good sponsor confidence when I was searching for a ne sponsor.
But I believe the sponsor budget is entirely dependend on the level of agent you send out (local, nationa, international, or legendary).
As I now have a lot of money (2 mil in cash) I am gonna send out an agent of every catergory to test what differences I will get in sponsor offers.
To respond to the question of Lachi:
My wage budget did increase from 60k to 90k the first year (when I also received the new and rich sponsor). It was a 2 years contract, so the 3rd season, with the same sponsor, and after not achieving any goal, the wage budget increased to 125k per month. (sponsor donations are 400k per month)
So it appears that my bad results did not prevent an increase of the sponsor budget.
Just to add: my tiny budget did not allow me to attract any agent, so I just had to go with one of the three sponsors offered at the end of the year...
