Hi,
What does these numbers mean? Can;t find them in the manual.
I mean the numbers eacht race has. Like C1 ot T1. Is it the level of oposition?
And, I start to understand how to protect a rider, but, what does it actually do and or mean?
Thanks in advance for your help.

C1, T1 indicates the type of race and the prestige of the race.
C stands for a single race.
T stands for a stage race (2 stages or more)
The number indicates the amount of pints you will receive for the continental ranking.
HC indicating high points and thus probably better competition
1 indicating lower ponints thus lower competition. However sometimes a top rider decides to ride one of those lower ranked races for fun... |

Check this: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/rule.../rules.asp
With regard to your second question. What does protecting a rider do? What would you think that it does? |

About the protecting: In real cycling protecting has mainly two usages. If you have seen the last km of yesterdays race, Voeckler has been protected by Rolland. Rolland was trying to bridge all gaps so that Voeckler wasn't forced to ride in the wind.
On flat stages they try to protect the leader to keep him out of trouble and to bring him to the front of the peloton.
In this game it is only to keep the leader out of the wind, as far as I know.
To raise the pace you can either raise the pace of the protected rider or instead set the protecting rider to individual effort and let your leader follow. |

As Lachi says... protection is done to protect the leader in the peloton... and in mountains... usually there's so little wind protection because there are small group of riders and they dont take advantage... what they usually do is mark the pace of the leader... I think Rolland has better mountain skills than Voeckler... and he was giving Voeckler the pace to lose the less time possible.
Sometimes when you ride alone you dont have reference... but if you have someone else in front doing a constant pace to you is better.
The game use both of them... your leader being protected uses less power... and in mountains you always need to protect your leader the most time possible. |

If it's pints I win then I'm going to try and win every race. |

Good help on the rankings. In which races do you score points for the continental rankings?
I am aware that a racecategory of T.HC will give you points, but when I play a stage race of 2.1 for example Giro Della Calabria and I win it, it will not give me any points. A race like Tour of Oman will give points I have noticed, but that race is the same category 2.1. Or not? I don't get it.
So is there a list of which races to race in PCM if you want points for the Continental Rankings?
And I am only talking about the Continental Rankings NOT Cya Top Tour or Superprestige.
I would be glad if you could help.

ALL 1.HC, -2.1 will give Conti-rankings (for CT teams ONLY) and Superprestige rankings (for ALL teams)
points are given for stage performances (top 5 i think) and the top 5 in a tour (Oman for example)
https://www.uci.ch...p;LangId=1
so for the PAris Correze GC, Samuel Dumoulin got 80 points for winning the GC (only a 2.1 class)
note that the ALM (or AG2R) rider doesn't get any points, as this isn't part fo the world tour |

Thank you very much Samdiatmh for your help. I realize what the problem is now. My team is not a CT team.
Good day |

you're welcome
as a ProTour team, i tend not to bother with many CT races, as it just wastes valuable race days - i tend to focus on tours like Paris-Nice, T-A, and the 3 GTs (although the Vuelta is hard after a long season for riders) |
