After playing the game for several years, I decided to dabble with the Stage Editor. A few days spent understanding the basics and intricacies of the Editor, I decided to make a Tour de France variant.
Stage 1: Calais to Lille(149km) - An interesting introduction to the Tour, after a few Kilometres along the English Channel, the route turned inland at Wissant through the forests of Parc Naturel regional des Caps et Marais d'Opale. An Intermediete sprint at Marquise gives an early chance of points for the Maillot Vert. A category 4 climb at Les Courteaux gives 1 point in the Maillot a Pois Rouges. The route turns eastward at Les Courteaux and heads along the southern border of the Parc Natural. Going through the settlements of Therouanne, Hazebrouck, Bailleul, and Armentieres, with sprints at Therouanne and Bailleul, before entering Lille, where the last 5 kilometres weave through the outskirts before finishing on Rue de Solferino.
