It really depends on what you are looking for yourself.
But if it is overall.
Just take a look at the star ratings on the team ingame.
And take a look at Leopard TRek, Omega Pharma Lotto, Sky, etc. |

Omega Pharma Lotto, they have everything. Top GC man, top 5 sprinter, and the best classic rider of this generation.

Omega is good, but doesn't have the depth. One GT rider can't ride 3 GT's, only one decent sprinter. If you want to challenge troughput the season in all GT's and races, go with Rabobank or Sky. If you want it easy, go with Leopard.
Omega is good for challenge and with them you can have very enjoyable game, though in some races in calendar you won't make big impacts.

I always start out with Lampre in my first career, though they aren't the best team at all, Scarponi and Cunego is a good pair in the Grand Tours and classics, and Petacchi is a good sprinter (even though he's getting old). Ulissi, Malori, Gavazzi, Niemiec and Bole are good helpers throughout the season and a lot of the bad riders can be sacrificed to get a lot of talents on the team.
You can also say that Lampre is a team that needs a generation change, which would make it a great team to start with, as the game doesn't get boring on the long-run. |
