Of the goals for the team Panaria is to reach a Top 5 Place in this race.
With Luca Mazzanti we got a good chance to reach this.
The first groupe left at about km 10. We sent Moises Aldape in, who is in a Top Form.
He won the Mexican Championship a week ago in front of his teammate Cuapio.
But the groupe didn´t work, so the three riders were captured 50 km before the end.
The it was Astana who was pushing the pace. They are speculating of a win of their skipper Sergio Paulinho.
But then 20km before the finish, it was den Bakker who was starting an attack. Mazzanti followed for Panaria
The groupe had success. It came to a srprint of five riders. Mazzanti, who was already at the limit had no
more power to win. He made a good fourth place
But then the bad news at last. Panaria didn´t get a wildcard for the giro because
their manager was sleeping when the team had to got for inscription :banghead: :banghead:

Italy, Giro del Trentino! "It is a very difficult race, we get a lot of mountains in there,
so we can try to test the form of our captains"
First stage was very difficult. In the early kilometres, there was a little groupe who tried
the road to victory, but Panaria Team made a good pace in the field. At the start of the first
mountain, the field was nearly all together. But then Pozzovivo forced the speed. A lot of riders
couldn´t follow. The Sella tried it, the only one who followed was Andrea Tonti.
In the Final, Tonti attacked and won the stage. It was a good performence for Sella,
but he isn´t at 100%

Second Stage was again very difficult
This time it was Andrea Noe who was the best one. He won in front of Massimo Codol and Domenico
Pozzovivo. Sella became 6th, he lost 41 seconds today. In overall, Tonti left the leader in front of
Noe and Emmanuel Sella. Two stages to go!

Two flat stages, the first one, a win from Panaria Sprinter Bongiorno. Second was Aitor Galdos.
Second stage also win for Ruben Bongiorno in front of Ivan Dominguez from Toyota. But the real race
begins on next stage when we go into the mountains. Captain Alex Ardila got a good team with
Pecharroman and Rubiano Chavez in the mountains.
Unfortunately our photographer, Simoni Pepperone forgot his camera in his Hotel Room.
So we got no pictures of the first 2 races from the United States.
After Sella and Pozzovivo reached good results in the first two stages, it were Pagoto and
Priamo who rocked the last two. Two very unexpected wins.
It was good wether tomorrow in this beautiful country. A real wild environment here in the mountains
in Trentino. It was a clear easy stage with one mountain in the middle of the way. Near the end it
was real flat. So a fifteen riders tried an escape. Panaria sent Andre Pagoto in. We gave him a clear
job, to stay in the frontgroupe but let the others make the pace. This worked out fine, because the peleton
didn´t chase them.
So 10km to go, Pagoto tried his luck, fortunately nobody followed. Summer tried it but failed.
So the first win finally here in Italy.

Another flat stage. It was Team Acqua et Sapone who dictated the tempo in this race. Attack after attack
in the early stage of this race. Acqua couln´t block every attack. At kilometre 40, a 11 men groupe left
the peleton in hoping of a chamce to win.
The groupe worked well and the peleton was not interessed in chasing them. So 12 kilometer to go, it was
Bo Hamburger who made an attack in the front. Only Priamo and Lasurdi could follow. But Priamo stated right
a conter attack. Hamburger was at the limit and could follow anymore. So Priamo could win this stage in solo
attack. A nice result for Panaria which were not planned.

Very thoug stage in the high mountains of Georgia.
Mirko Allegrini made a crash and was injured on the leg. He gave up race
It was a very aggressive race with a lot of attacks. 30 togo, Tom Danielson attacked and made a hole.
It seemed that Danielson would win today, but the Swiss rider Vitoria made an incredible sprint on
the last 200 meters and took the win away from Danielson.
For Panaria it was a real bad day, Pecha got 18th!

Stage 4
The royal stage of the tour of Georgia. Another though stage. And again, someone had to crush his bike.
This time it was Henk Vogels. On third mountain, the pace from Discovery was too much. Only a small
groupe left with them in front.
After all, it was Riccardo Ricco who won the stage infront of Tom Danielson. For Panaria, this stage was
already a lot better than the one yesterday. Pecharroman was testin his form. Ardila was very good,
did a lot of work for Pecha.

The Vueltas a Asturias, a five stage race, got one very though challence. It is the third stage from Carfes
Toscaf to the Alto del Acebo. It was the Mexican Julio Perez Cuapio who was unbeatable in this race.
He easily runs the mountain in a solo trip. At the beginning, Luca Mazzanti forced the pace. The peleton ran with
incredibly speed into the mountain. Pozzovivo was the only one who could follow his teammate Cuapio.
But then 5 km togo, Cuapio started a solo challenge.

Weclome to Italia, this time, it´s for the Brixia Tour. A 4 stage race with one mountain time trial. Seems to be
made for Panaria. The three other satges were very flat and it came 3 time to a mass sprint. So the decision of
this race will be made in the mountains.
15 kilometres terrible climb at the Passo Maniva. The first one, who set a new very good time was Panaria
rider Rubiano Chavez.
Rubiano Chavez made already 2 minutes on 10 kilometres good of his frontmen
A nice pic from the helicoptre. It´s Niemec from Miche
But Niemec couldn´t reach the time from Rubiano. He stayed 9 seconds behind him. Than of course, it were
Emmanuele Sella and Domenico Pozzovivo who rocked this stage. First Sella made new best time, a few minutes
later it was Pozzovivo.
But they made all the business without planning in the king of mountain. Felix Cardenas from Barloworld came in and
he got new bast time.
A bit disapointed was the fact Cuapio didn´t camo in the Top 10, but he seemed a bit fatigated from his effort from
the Vuelta Asturias.
Felix Cardenas made the difference
