I was playing this awesome game for the first time yesterday, and the sprints was realy realistic. But one thing I can't find the way to do, was that the leadout man for the sprinter was sprinting from 2,5 km to go, and the sprinter just sat on his wheel, and did not sprint. You know, like Renshaw is doing for Cavendish, Renshaw is sprinting as hell with Cav on his wheel. Can anyone help me with this? Thanx. |

I do not understand fully.
If Cav did not sprint but was still able to follow him, then just select Cav and click on the sprint icon once you think it is time.
If Cav did lose the wheel of Renshaw then make sure that his % was high enough and the he really was following him.

No i think you don't understand, the point here is to let cav ride normally, whilst renshaw is sprinting. |

Select Cav, rightclick on who you want to follow select the S-> icon (follow). This should put him on his wheel as best as possible. He can still be blocked out and lose the wheel then you need to adjust to that situation. Once the rider you're following starts to sprint, the one following will sprint with him. They do for me at least.
I usually take two of my sprinters and follow two AI trains, I can't seem to make one myself that works.
If the train I follow is good, I pause at 0.7-0.9km left and put my sprinters on aggressive and on sprint.
I just got 2nd and 3rd place by doing this on easy (I'm still learning, first PCM game I play in many years). I'd won if my main sprinter wouldn't gotten stuck behind riders falling off the trains. |

U guys don't understand. Havent u seen that Goss is the leadout man for Cav, and Goss sprints while Cav is riding normally behind Goss? If you are Garmin, Lotto or what else, u can see it. It could be a bug, but I don't think so, because every team does that, but I just can't.. |

if you watch a massive sprint on tv u can see that Cav or any other sprinter doesn't get out of his saddle and sprint behind the leadout if he can follow..he only starts sprinting when the leadout gets out of the way...

Dont think that you can be on the wheele of your lead-out man who sprints, and not sprinting with your sprinter |

What I said: it's not possible.
Following a rider will always result in a behaviour similar to the rider you follow -> if the followed rider sprints, the follower sprints as well.

Finally it does not matter if Cav does sprint or not. Look at the red bar or the sprinting bar, it would decrease even if he is not getting out of his saddle. The only thing which does matter is if Cav is riding in the wind or not.
Basically it is about finding the right time to start the sprint so that Cav is not out in the wind too long (which could result in other sprinters overtaking him) but also not too late, so that he has enough time to overtake others (if needed) |
