I've started a test-career with a custom team from Norway named Telenor-Statoil. I've only got riders from Norway aswell as a few from Sweden. My only leader is Boasson Hagen and he is by far the best rider. I've also got Kurt Asle Arvesen and Kessiakoff.
I was a bit suprised to see what the sponsor was expecting of me; a newly formed Continental Team from a small country with only Hagen as a decent rider. These are just some of the goals:
- Best climber in Dauphine Libere
- Win Paris-Nice
- Top 5 in Milan San-Remo
- Best climber in Giro di Italia (are you kidding me?)
- Stage wins in Tour de France
- Top 5 in Ronde van Vlaandern
Have I just been unlucky or does any else feel that the sponsors ambitions is a bit to high in PCM2011?
Edit: I should also mention that every single objective was for World Tour races, not a single one was for the Continental Tour.
I know Boasson Hagen is among the top 3 riders in the world, but isn't this demanding a bit to much?

Its not only custom teams, its in general i think, i'm certainly missing a more... "gentle" list of goals, but then again, since you cant extend sponsor contracts or get rewarded/punished depending on how you fufill the goals, its allright |

I made a 0% Custom team consisting of only talents, and had alot of quite realistic goals mostly top10s and top climber/sprinter in various T.HC races as Tour of California, Qatar and Denmark.
The only completely unralistic goals in my first season was Top 10 in the Vuelta and Climber in the Giro I think. Of course I couldn't get a wild card for those.
I probably achieved 30% and got close (top 25) in another 20-30% of my goals. My sponsors seemes very satisfied with that succes rate. |

i think sponsor goals overall are fine for the big teams, but for the small teams and custom teams they are outrageous.. i started a game as La Pomme Marseille, and my 3 goals were top 10 Paris-Nice, top 10 dauphine libere, and stage win TDF.. When i picked myself up from the floor from laughing so hard, i deleted game and looked for a new option.. |

Well if you want to achieve all of your sponsors objectives, it is too hard indeed. But This year is unlike previous years. You don't have to achieve every sponsor goal. Actually the goals are just to give you a bit of a challange. Don't try to take them all. Just enjoy your career. |

Isn't it like PCM 2010 where you can almost acheive an objective and you get an orange tick ? |

Yep, I have started a custom team and the goals I have are very similar:
Stage win - Paris - Nice
Top 5 - Tirreno
Top 5 - Milan-San Remo
Top 5 - Fleche Wallonne
Top 10 - L-B-L
1st in climber ranking - Giro
1st in climber ranking - TDF
Win Dauphiné
Top 5 Vuelta
Top 3 Giro di Lombardia
The first win on PCM11 and in my custom career was in Etoile de Bessèges where I won with Benoit Vaugrenard in a breakaway. |

Im AG2R La Mondiale on career and my goals seem realistic, however I started a career with Omega Pharma Lotto a while back and included in the goals was Top 3 in the Tour de France, Giro D'Italia and Veulta a Espana.

I dont bother too much with the goals set by the sponsors. Like Housies said, if I manage to make a couple of them it seems to keep my sponsors happy. I really enjoy this years version of the game!

Sponsors have different goals on the same tours. Always the_same_tours no matter which team you have. Plus idiotic system no extending contract, no rewards. Sponsors new system should be a great innovation but it looks like unfinished and its completely hopeless, useless and stupid.
