I have a sprinter in my team who is 26 years old. I have been training him on the sprinter training for a few months. I have noticed that on the progress potential he has no stars beside sprint or acceleration.
Is there any point on keeping him on the sprint training?
Can riders attributes drop if they are not trained?
Is there any way to know what attributes are improved with the seven different training?
Thanks. |

No, train something else instead, maybe try and make hm a bit of a hilly/classics rider if he has any stars in Hills or try and make hi a cobblestone helper is he can ride on cobbles at all and has potential there.
As far as I know not during the season.
There was a chart around with the full effects for each training regimen I am sure an older user probably has it saved somewhere and will post it.
EDIT: Here's the image, I believe initially made for PCM 2009 but things probably have not changed. There are also a few lines in the database you are using that govern training but I lack the experience to tell you exactly which ones are important.

If your rider does not gain anything then he will not lose anything... So its basically like he has been doing nothing the whole time.

Well, sprint training also improves other stats (see below)
no, attributes only drop by older riders

This chart shows you how much training effects certain stats (prolog, downhill can't be improved by a special training)

Cool thanks for the quick replys and the chart.
I guess I will have to have a closer look at all my riders training now. |

I just realized that Downhill and Prologue are not on that chart. Anyone know which training improves these stats? |

OK thanks.
So is it possible to improve these stats?
Also is it possible to improve the fighter stat? |

I dont think the fighter stat can imporve, but it ain't that important because your rider imporve in plenty other stats when you train him as a fighter |

In that chart 0 does not mean no improvement but it means normal improvement.
1, 2 or 3 means faster improvement.
The stats which are not in the list would have a 0 for all trainings.
So you only have to decide what stats you want to improve fastest, it is not possible to stop the improvement in a single stat until the rider has used up all stars for that stat. |

I forgot if the game needs more CPU or more GPU, but if your computer is below the minimum requirements, then the game will neither run at maximum nor good, it will run at minimum in the best case.
I guess it would take very long to load the stages (3D) if you have a slow CPU.
PCM2010 has the same requirements, so if that game runs fine, you should not have big problems. |
