They did in PCM10, and I'd be surprised if they don't in PCM11. |

I played/simmed one season with a small continental team. At the end of the season, none of the Pro tour teams had a neo professional in their roster. I checked some of the continental teams but not all. No new generated young riders either.
I however signed 10 young riders. I don't know if it was possible in PCM 10. but now you can select the riders of the U-23 world ranking. IN PCM09 you could only read their names, but not acces their profile to offer a contract.
This way I find it very easy to sign the best talents of the world into your team. And without the competition of the AI teams, they always accept a contract in your team.
I also find that the young generated riders have pretty good stats (had one with hill on 70 and even one with sprint on 73). The potential of the riders is also very promising.
I think I am gonna go for the sign young riders approach in my career. |

That is the best way if you are planning to play several seasons.
You can either choose the riders on nationality (realism) or simply by world ranking.
Got a 76 MO, a 75 FL and a 76 SP in one season (all with limits above 82).

Cool!
Anyway, if other teams don't sign young riders, playing a career for several years will get an unbalanced (old) peloton.
Is there a way to report (possible, haven't tested enough to prove it is a bug) bugs to cyanide? I am all for helping improving the game... |

Do the riders go in to the free rider pool at some point if they are never signed? |

Just about to start the fourth season in my career, so got some insight into this talent signing stuff...
I'd say there are about fifteen riders who can be classed as regens, appearing after the first season...
In my opinion that's not too much, as I'd expect much more under-23 riders to make it to the pro teams in real life.
On a different note, but not worth a topic of it's own, it's pretty annoying to see team names changing when a sponsor changes, even for the years prior to the change. F.e. team HTC changed to SplitSe in my game and for the 2011 season they are now now referred to as SplitSe... |

Are you sure they are pure regens (same stats/limits as the riders that just retired)? |

No, what I meant was newly generated players...
Not regens in that sense, sorry for causing confusion!
Newgens then? |
