Okay, im quite new to PCM and i think its hard to get a career going.
So my question is, what team is good to start out with in a new career? A big team, where you have the best riders but high expectations, or smaller one where the preasure is smaller to?!
...plus any strategy newbie tips will be appreciated.
Hmmm, maybe Moviestar?
Play on easy and get used to the different buttons
There are guides both on the forum and on youtube for sprints, climbs and TTs.

As a new player I would start with a pretty good team first. Play a season in career mode just to get a feeling of everything. 3D races, simulating races, training, signing new riders, sponsors, etc. Don't mind if you screw something up. And just try to get a couple of wins wich should be possible as you have a good team.
After one season, you will get the hang of the game. now is the time to start a career for real with a smaller team and look for the real challenge.
Also, the game will be finalized by then (new patches) and the PCM daily database will hopefully be ready. Install the patches and the database before you start your career for real. Up till then, enjoy the game an try to find your best tactic.
Thanks for the advice, will give it a try with moviestar, and don't think to much about the results, and just messing around with the tactics etc.
I do have a follow up question though, in the manual it says the effort bar starts at 50, while in the game its at 70, how high effort should i use durring a stage if i just want to sit in the peleton, and i saw in a toturial he only uses 25 when going up a hill..it all seems a bit "random" to me?!
Ignore the manual in this point. It was at 50 in previous versions.
Now it`s 70. But if you go uphill you should put it on 90 or so, otherwise your riders will fall out of the peloton. It`s a bit tricky in PCM11 but you get to know how it works pretty fast.

I always just put all my riders on 99, seems to work fine.
In a flat race... Yes.
However, say you have a flat race with some small hills in it. When you have a good sprinter with bad hill climbing stats, this could cause some trouble. While going uphill, your sprinter will do everything to keep up with the best climbers. Thus using a lot of energy.
However if you put 50, he will maybe drop a few places in the pack, but he will keep most of his energy so he can drive back to the front of the peloton during the descend of the hill and take back position at the front of the peloton.
what I would recommend to you is the following:
start a single race. i would choose the best team with the best riders en just try some tactics in a single race. you could do a mountainstage with contador or a sprintstage with cavendish and so on.
what I always do when a new PCM version is out, start a tour de france and see how the gameplay is.
this has two big pro's:
first, you can get the hang of the (new) gameplay and how this works
second, you can 'scout' the stages for in your career. you've played the important stages already and you know when you have to watch out
