Hello everyone.
I have a huge problem that makes me very unhappy:-O
Really hope you guys can help me.
Until yesterday my newly purchased PCM11 worked quite amazing, I got home put it in the machine and then it just worked. Everything worked well until I decided to change the resolution, I thought it just might take the highest, so I put it up on the highest resolution and restarted the game.
When I came into the main menu, it was all out of shape. It was clear that the resolution was simply too high and I could not even see the exit, or Options button. I did manage to hit the exit button and was now out on the desktop again.
When I would enter the game again I can not. What happens is that it just loads a second then it goes white in one second and then stops completely.
So I can not even get into the game. I've tried to reinstall - have even used my 2.activation on it - but it still does not work.
Really hope you can help.
I run it on a desktop with Windows XP, but pretty good in the sense that until I got "megalomania" drove it to the next highest resolution and very high graphics.
Have had all the previous pcm games to work on the computer.
You have to reset the options manually. As far as I remember, this file is in the pcm folder in "My documents" but I cannot recall its name.
If you cannot find it, just rename that pcm folder. But after doing this you would need to restore your saves, the DB and likely files, so better find the options file.
well, i think i actually tried that.
I tried changing my resolution to 1024x800 in the Config->GraphicConfiguration with no result , that is what you mean right?
Are you sure that you are editing the correct file?
What values were there before you edited it? The ones you set in the game?
Also you should make sure that you put the correct values in and in correct order.
You could also try to install the patch. Because it seams to overwrite the settings. If you already installed the latest patch, you can install patch 1.0.2.5 to try it out. Later you can install 1.0.3.0 again to continue your game.
yes it was the wrong settings i sat in the game that was in the file. So i changed it to 1024x800 , though i dont remember what size it worked with in the game before the breakdown.
I tried to reinstall it, and when i did that it also updated to 1.0.3.0 so it should be there :-/
Thouh its still not working :-((
