You can use PCM10 variants. They might cause gameplay problems, but so far I haven`t noticed any.

According to Cyanide there are risks integrated into the stage file.
These risks take care, that the leaders are in front of the peloton if there are cobbles, mountains, hills or narrow roads for example.
To have this risks you have to convert all stages.
On the other hand PCM10 stages are still playable and most of them won`t influence the gameplay a lot. Especially flat stages aren`t that important to convert. |

Variants are used in the career mode to avoid the same stages every season. So you can have different stages in all GT`s and PT races for example in every season for 4-5 years before going back to the first again. |
