Activation Requires Serial Number?

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I couldnt' find it, if it has been.
I've downloaded the game. Recieved a confirmation email that has an activation key and a multi-player key. I've installed the game and the patch, when I try to run the game, it opens an activation page that asks for a serial number. I've tried entering the activation key and multi-player key, neither of those works as the serial number. Should I have received a serial number as well? Or is there a way around this? |

Nevermind, figured it out. That is a very un-intuitive activation process. You use the provided "activation key" to retrieve a "manual activation key". |

Usually, the activation key will work just fine (no need for a manual activation key). |
