does anyone use the PCM Spain 2007 db? is it any good? does it have a lot of free agent talents, like PPDB 2006?
i am currently using the PPDB 2006 and loving all the free agent talents and was wondering if there was any point in changing to the PCM Spain 2007 or to just wait for the PPDB 2007 (which may never come out at this rate), so any advice would be nice. |

yes it does have a 2007 update but it is a beta and when you try and play it there is only 1 trainer available and he's a regional and i need more trainers than that. there are also several small problems involved in it (which you do expect in a beta). this is why i was looking at the PCM Spain 2007, so thanks for help
but is there anyone that has played on the PCM Spain 2007 that can tell me if it is any good or not please |

i think plakker (the databse man) said that there are so many teams in the database that there are only just enough trainers to go around with only 1 spare to employ.
with the 2006 db he made a fix that sorted the problem but hasn't been bothered to make one for the 2007 db as it is only a beta.
anyway i am in the process of transfering some talents from the PPDB 2006 to the PCM Spain so i am hoping that it will be a good db.
thanks for trying to give as much help as you can SportingNonsense, it is hard to try and give advice without actually playing on the db so thank you for trying |

I've played a bit on PCM Spain 2006. I think it is quite good although I'm not sure what your criteria are for judging databases. But for me it has all the important stuff: photos of all the riders, races are named properly, extra races not in the original database, a fair number of free agents although none of them are stellar. There a few of the racers who have faces although I find them a little spooky at times, particularly Erik Zabel. But the database is quite stable and I've enjoyed it very much.
I wasn't aware that the PCM Spain team has made a 2007 database but if they have, I'm sure it'll be very good if it's of similar quality to DB 2006.

Please notice, though, that it's not the "official" PCM Spain 2007 DB. It's made by a few guys, and some of them also worked on the 2006 DB.
I must say I haven't tried it, but I extracted the package to see what it contained - and it looked really detailed with rider photos, and other new graphical elements. Also, I know the calendar has been updated to 2007 - a thing which the other 2007 databases haven't worked on.
Unfortunately, the version released is Spanish, meaning that the race names are Spanish. Apart from that the DB seems like usual PCM Spain-qiuality, though. |

Regarding the last part of my post: I've just been told that the 2nd version will be released this week - and it will also include an international version. |

Anyone else who has tried this database?
Is it vulnerable to crashes?
What is the new classification system?
Anyone who has played a whole year with this DB?
Thanx in advance

The DB maker is strange, he haven't fixed the Tour Med. bug in 2008. I found the soloution some days ago, and sent it to him, but well, it isn't fixed in V.3
