would you reccommend it?

Hey
i'm toying with the idea of buying the new game. however, i've got quite a nice career going with sky and want to know that an investment in the game will be worth the expence.
obviously there are some bugs which will be fixed with patches, but there are two big things that really annoy me about the current game that will make me not consider buying the new one if they haven't bothered to fix.
1. Are the injuries realistic? In my 2 years in charge of Sky I haven't had a single rider crash out of a race with an injury. Also, I think a broken leg would require more then 2 months off the bike.
2. Do the computer controlled riders actually sprint for intermidiate sprints in the new game? It really takes away from the realism of the game when no-one excepr you tries to win intermidiate sprints.

2. Yes they do, its actually very hard to win a KoM sprint now and I was using Dan Martin. That part of the game has really improved.

2011 is a lot better in pretty much every area. Think the injuries are still a bit rubbish though. Still get the odd fractured skull, out for a month type thing. |

Tom jelte Slagter had a skull fracture in the giro and is racing again. |

Btw definitely would recommend the game. Much more challenging and more of a real feeling of the game. |

1) I just had a rider with a serious injury yesterday in my career (it was february and the rider is out till end april). However, I don't really mind that the injury's take not so long to recover. And when your rider recovers after 2 month's, you still need to train your rider to an appropriate fitness level wich will take at least 4 weeks.
2) Taking the mountain jersey or the sprinters jersey will take some effort, Yes.
But I think that the best part about this version is the overall gameplay during the race which has vastly improved.
So I can recommend you to buy the gama. |

Echoing everyone else's comments, the gameplay is vastly superior to previous editions (I go back to 08). I can't speak about career mode yet though, as I am waiting for the pcmdaily real names db. But I definitely recommend the game. |

cheers guys.
just ordered a copy from Amazon. Saw it for £14 which is a bit of a bargain I reckon. Prob gonna continue with my 2010 career until all the patches and PCM DB's have come out. |
