You are invited to submit applications for entry into the Continental Tour Division 2, which will serve as a breeding ground for new managers entering into the Continental Tour proper in the season following.
Joining the Management Game is a commitment - you'll be expected to be active enough in the off-season, where the bulk of the manager work takes place - but also then remain active through the year as the season progresses, commenting on race discussion threads as you follow your team in action. And as I'm sure the current managers would tell you, any effort is worth it - it's good fun!
For more specific information about the division 2 please read the Division 2 FAQ HERE
One of the key things to note from the FAQ is the nationality focus we would like each division 2 team to have. We would prefer just one nation if possible and it might be worth checking out the free agents in the most recent rider database HERE, though note that this database will have changed a lot following the Man Games main transfer season currently taking place.
It will be possible to group some smaller connected nations (such as Central America or Scandinavia for example), but we would prefer people to select just one nation to base their team around. Remember you are not committed to signing all your riders from there but at least 50% of the squad.
You can apply by either posting in this thread or pming me Smowz. In your application we would like you answer the following questions:
1) Why do you wish to apply?
2) How do we know you'll be active?
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
The Deadline for entries is ONE WEEK from today on Monday 4th July at 22.00 British Summer Time (GMT +1)
Finally, this is an oppurtunity for new players ONLY, existing players and former ManGame players need not apply.

1) Why do you wish to apply?
I have followed the Man Game for some season now, and the project and idea is simply a fantastic addon to the allready good Pro Cycling Manager, but this gives also a new dimension to it with a lively and active transfer season and much action during the season in the discussion forum. I want to be a part of this!
2) How do we know you'll be active?
When I have a team, whether it's here, or on another site, I feel responsible to use a proper amount of time on it, I use to check pcmdaily several times each day, reading a lot, but of course I cannot prove it, and you just have to trust me.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
We wishes to bring something new to the management game, and that means a cycling team based in a exotic country when it comes to cycling. If we get accepted in to the CTII-division, the team name will be Team Armavia and located in Yerevan, Armenia.
Our main sponsor will as you probably allready have figured out, be one of the domestic air shuttle companies in Armenia, who have promised a huge amount of Armenian Dram to our new cycling project.
There are just 5 active Armenian riders in the ManGame, so we are hoping that all of them, also after the transfer season, remains free transfers. The sprinter Korkotyan will of course be our biggest transfer goal this season, and when it comes to other nationalites, we will try to sign riders in the closest area, such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran if possible. |

1) Why do you wish to apply?
I have been following the man game on the site for a while, and I find it really interesting. This is really my kind of thing, and I know that I would love to be a part of it.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
Basically, you can't know, but I will promise you that I will be committed to this game, and frequently post in racethreads and so forth. I have been a member here for a while, and might not be very noticeable, but I stick around.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
I would like to have a team based in Lithuania, with riders mainly from Lithuania. Then comes Estonia and Latvia. Then comes Russia.

1) Why do you wish to apply?
While in my first few months as a member here I didn't pay attention to the man game, I've lately discovered (as a university student I've a lot of free time ) that this is a pretty interesting game, and specially it goes deeper into the mangement part cycling than PCM will ever be. So, as a manager games freak I'm sure I'll enjoy that.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
I've been (quite) active here in the last two years, so I guess that being accepted into the man game would only help to keep me even more active. Also, quoting myself:
(as a university student I've a lot of free time )
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
The idea is to create an Slovenian team. Slovenia, despite its small size and population, has been pretty successful in several sports, and cycling has not been totally unconnected with this phenomenon, with some Slovenian riders making their way into the Pro ranks, some of them with pretty good results.
Now I'd like to gather some of them in a strong team, which of course will have an eye over riders of another Balkan countries willing to make themselves a name in the sport. |

Longing to play this game for a while now. See this as an application form.
1) Why do you wish to apply?
Like I mentioned. Last applications for the manager game I just missed the boat. Looking very much forward to the discussions and tactics for the races, with real life managers. Could be very challenging I suppose. And everybody loves a good challenge.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
You won't . Seriously I am following this website on a daily basis. It's one of the sites I check when I wake up. That's active enough for me. ( holiday in august though)
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
Dutch would be great. Any other is also fine by me. |

1. I really like the idea of an AI v AI project and ever since i've joined this forum i've been looking for an opportunity to join in!
Since i suck at the game, this might be a great way to get some wins
2. I check this site several times a day. Guess that's the most i can do
3. Everyone knows that the best a sportsman can do is drink some beers before every match/race. Hence i want my main sponsor to be InBev, a beer brewing company. I'd like to be based in the home country of the best drinkers in the world, Belgium (Believe it or not ).

Just a question Smowz, since you state this is a "breeding ground" will the div2 teams keep their team if they stick around and eventually join Continental Division? Or will they start from scratch again?

Theres a decent chance they will get to keep their team, but that is a decision for the end of the season.

1) Why do you wish to apply?
I follow the man-game for a while now and think it's a fun and great game to watch and join. I really whould like to join because i like managing a team and getting scedules right and make a good team with low money.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
At the moment I'm not so much posting here because I am not active in anything, but at Procyclingmanager.com I'm guitte active and when I join this game I will be here because I've got a lot of time for it because it's my holiday now and after that i will get back to study which also gives me a lot of time to look after the races and other stuff.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
My squad whould be based on riders from Sweden, with main sponsor Forex Bank. Maby some riders from Finland also to fill up but mainly from Sweden. The reason for this is because I think the riders from these countries can do more then most people think about them. |

1) Why do you wish to apply?
I have been interested in the man-game since I joined and I have applied for it on a previous occasion. Since then I have still been following it and I have been waiting for another opportunity to join. I really got in to pcm and thoroughly enjoy the management as well as the game play. I would love to get the opportunity to take my management to a new level.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
When I first joined pcm daily I was very active and loved to get involved, however in the last few months I have been less active. This was mainly due to the exams that I have had over the last month and the build up to them. As I have just finished this is a perfect time for me to get involved. Also I have been a member for a year and a half and I plan to stick around for the considerable future.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
I would like to create a team which is based in Venezuela. They have a wide variety of riders who would allow me to create a well-rounded team. They also have many young riders with lots of potential, and as there is no Venezuelan team currently, their potential could go unfulfilled. There is also only one other South American team so there is potential for expansion over all of the continent.
My main goal would be the Tour of San Juan where I would aim to do well in the general classification. At the moment my main sponsor is likely to be Cativen.

I´ve been following the man Game for some time, and the project is really enthusiastic for me.It´s the managing part that lacks the grat PCM. I really want to be part of the MAN GAME
2) How do we know you'll be active?
If i assume a responsability it´s because ican commit myself to comply with the requirements. I respect people´s work and time as i like others to respect mine.
3) It will be a South American team, i´m from Uruguay but i think i can create a project to develop among the big ones starting from south america through europe

1) Why do you wish to apply?
I very much like playing PCM and building stages. Just started the stage building, so i don't have as much time to play PCM as I used to have. Also I don't have the new PCM yet so playing for myself has been toned down even more. That's where this mangame comes in. The managing challenge sounds awesome to me as it opens up a whole new side tothe game that I have always missed a bit in the normal game. So to face real players and get involved in your team that's impossible in the game itself sounds like good fun to me.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
The forum game sounds very enjoyable so I'll want to stick around. I want to see how riders progress and as far as I understood the rules up untill now you have quite some influence on how they progress. I'm still in college, which might be seen as a bad thing by some, but it means I actually have time for a game like this. Also I got in the habit of checking PCMdaily several times a day for all kinds of news from the game and the real world of cycling.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
I would like to start my managing experience with a team based in the Netherlands, as I'm from here. Maybe I'll fill out the squad with some Germans as I have roots there aswell, but that's something I have to read up in first.
Thanks for rading and I'll be excited right untill the decisions are made as i didn't expect there would be anymore chances to join this for this season. |

1) Why do you wish to apply?
Hi. I am a fan of the man game of yours since the beginning (i wasn't member of the site in that time). Since i joined i planned to take part, but one time missed the application schedule, another time i was a little bit scared from the challenge But i'm ready now. I play PCM from the very beginning and i'd like to continue playing in this great project.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
I can only say promises I'm a school teacher, so i have a lot of time after school (the summer its all free). And i can promise, if i want to be part of something, i do with seriousity.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
First of all, i have double nationality, hungarian-romanian. So i want to create a team based on one of this nations (or a mix of them). And i want to add some more east-european riders to create a top east-european team I have ideas my main sponsors too, its a lot of romanian and hungarian businesses that sponsoring sporting events (like MOL, OTP, Allianz-Tiriac,Raiffeisen, and so on).
Thank you for reading my application and i hope for a spot in the lineup |

1) Why do you wish to apply?
Because i am playing PCM for 4 years now and i never imagined some people can bring this great depth to it. And now when i see this wonderful opportunity to be the part of it, i cannot help myself and have to apply. In PCM i prefer playing with low-budget custom teams, so building my team from the scratch is nothing new to me, it is even better and funnier
Another important thing is that almost nobody in my surrounding is interested in game like PCM and here i feel like a part of the community and man-game is great proof of it,that people from the whole world come together and have fun with sport and game they love
2) How do we know you'll be active?
You can bet on i will be active, because it is not long ago i found this great PCM site and i am following almost the whole day (i hope i will not loose my job because of it )
And i simply love cycling, both in active and passive way, i am following almost every broadcast of a cycling race for maybe 10 years now. I am also experienced in other online-managment games and when it comes to cycling man-game i will certainly do it with passion.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
As i am from Slovakia (but living in Czech Republic) my team would be based in Czech Republic and sponzored by biggest lottery company Sazka (it has financial problems now, but they want new start and help czech sport) and the second sponsor Pilsner Urquell (brewer of worlds best beer)
My team would be mainly structured from czech and slovakia riders, but we could give a chance to some other central and east-european talents (Poland,Ukraine,Austria)

I find it quite interesting that a couple of people who just left school, thinks that they will now have more time on their hands.
I had that same fealing once graduated, but in the end the following year turned out to be, by far, the most hectic year of my life. Imo there isn't going to ever be a period where you got more time, than when you are in school. Eventhough homework, and exams can take up time, it is NO match for what comes after. Moving for yourself, girlfriends, friends, parties, applying for jobs, worldwide travels, tougher educations, family and all those things suddently starts to be quite important, and will eventually take way more time, than you could ever imagine it to do.
Some obviously are different, but I find it hillarious that people in general thinks that the time after finishing school is a time of hours-on-end sparetime. Keep on dreaming

Why do you wish to apply?
I’ve been following the Man-Game for the past season and a half now, and I think it is a great concept. It will give me something to do in my spare time, especially during the summer when I’m off school and have nothing better to do.
How do we know you'll be active?
For a number of reasons. The first one is that I’ve been around on the site for over a year now and only really disappeared when my old computer broke. The second one is that once I start things, I try to finish them, barring my PCM databases which have been a disaster. The third one is that this is something that I want to do, so I’ll pay attention to it because I will be enjoying it. The final one is that I’ll be more active around here in the summer, because of what I explained earlier, so it would be quite hard for me to ignore the Man-Game.
Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
My team would be called Team Dyson, with title sponsorship from the Dyson vacuum company. That means that we will have a focus on British and Irish riders, although our main focus in any region is young riders. The idea is that I can start to build a squad in CDiv2, then hopefully be allowed to move up and continue to develop the youngsters so that I have a strong team for the future.
Here, have a jersey...

1) Why do you wish to apply?
I think this is a very interesting game. I've been following man game in last season and I tried to join this season. Management games are something that I like and I'll surely enjoy building cycling team and managing it. I would like to face other players and see how good I am.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
You can't know I'll be active, because I haven't been active on PCM.daily. But I promise I will be playing this game and I'll be active cause I have a lot of free time and I really want to join to man game.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
I'm Polish and I would like my team to be based on riders from Central Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia). I think there are many talented cyclists and team based on them can be very good. On the other hand I'm thinking about team based on Belgian riders cause my favourite races are northern classics (especially on cobbles). But I lean toward more on Central Europe team because of my nationality. |
