Hi,
I have yet to finish my first season, and I was wondering how bad You have to perform before You get sacked.
Will a sponsor confidence that is poor/average when season is over be okay?
Will acheiving 2 out of 5 sponsors goals be okay?
What is your experience on this?

I don't think "poor" will be good enough, but honestly I cheated in my save game by making the sponsors happy with a save game editor |

Achieving 2 out of 5 goals is enough, if those were really important goals.

Thanx,
I play with Astana - Pcm Spain database, hard difficulty level.
I have the following goals:
LBL - finish in top 3: Vino came fourth - doooooh, only because i wanted to win, I could have got a secure third if I wanted to.
Giro - finish in top 10. I am playing the Giro right now and no probs there.
TDF - win it. I think I wont be able to achieve this.
Deutshland Tour - win a stage. It shouldnt be that difficult.
Vuelta - win it. I hope Contador will do, I have saved him for this task.
Thats 2 or 3 out of 5. Hope Astana will be happy with that. Do not want to cheat with a Editor .

Not winning the Tour might be a major letdown for your sponsor. Try to finish in the Top 5 if possible.
Anyway, winning the Vuelta should do.

I am sure I will finish in top 3 in TDF but first place might be unattainable for me.
I hope they will be satisfied. With Contador and kateckhin progressing season 2 will be very exciting.

Now that depends on the database, really. Especially those 2 don't progress that much in most databases i've had in the past.
But since you're using a spanish DB I'm sure Contador won't be that bad after all.

Okay. I have also seen that Cunego is more "human" in the spanish DB. He might not win by 10 minuttes in the Giro this time.

Yes that's been my experience as well even though he still won the Giro. But it wasn't by a big margin.
As far as Sponsor confidence, I don't think it's necessary to hit all the goals or perhaps even any of them. If you don't make your goals but you win tons of races/stages then I think your sponsors will be happy. And they also are happy if you perform well in the preferred races. So finishing second in GC in the TdF will give you a big boost if that's one of the preferred races of your sponsor. Just keep an eye on Sponsor confidence because it's critical for next season. I think if you are poor or worse in July, you are in deep trouble. |

Well in my Giro (the one with my problem) eventually Simoni won a few minuttes ahead of Cunego. Nice.
I finished 6th with Jacshe (77 in mountain after a camp), which I am quite proud of (playing on hard difficulty level).
I will start all over again hopefully doing well in TDF if I make that far without any strange things happen

Yah, I'm sorry to read about your troubles with PCM Spain 2006. I play with that DB but I have noy any of the problems you described in your other post although I didn't pay careful attention to the Giro. But when I reached my goals in other races, it was noted and my Sponsor confidence got a boost. So it's strange that you are having problems. Perhaps you could contact the Spain team. i think they have a website somewhere. |

Yes but they do of course speak English. So just ask them, they will answer in English.
