Jersey and equipment don't work

I'm sure I'm doing this right. I tried to put my jersey and equipment (helmets only) into the game using PCMdaily 2011 DB overwriting Roubaix - Lillé Metropol.
My jersey file is .tga and I named it rlm_maillot and put it in CM_textures -> cycliste -> team -> rlm
The six helmets DDS. files I put in CM_textures -> Equipment -> Helmets and overwrote the previous six ones from Roubaix. The two .nif files I put in CM_meshes -> Equipment -> Helmets
Then turned on the game, picked a stage to see if it worked, picked the Roubaix team. Nothing had changed though. Still same Roubaix jerseys and helmets.
What am I missing here guys?

Did you save and load the database?
Well I don't need to edit the DB do i? All I did was just overwriting the jersey and helmet files in the PCM10 folder. Didn't use an editor.

Yes Good point..
Couple of things to consider:
Must be 556 Kb in size of .tga files (32 Bit using Paint.Net makes it 556.3)
455x313 pixels and 32bpp
