Here are the achievements and somehow.. they.. are.. weird.. but they are ok
Weird like winning with one rider every "discipline" of the Tour de France flat and mountain with 1 rider in these times? or win every jersey with 1 rider etc.

Have your team win all the stages of the Tour de France and all 3 leader jerseys
WFT ?
So many stupid achievements, you had to lol half of them at least.
Did Caynide make those ? Those are even stupider than the orginial DB stats.

The best achievement is "French skills"
Win a stage on expert
Or British punctuality
Win the Individual Time-Trial and then beat your time the next time you play
I went to school with a brit and I still think Germans are a lot more on time (and without a doubt T. Martin is better then Millar )

Pretty sure the developer chooses the achievements. How hard these are depends on how 'easy' the easy mode is but they look hard, that's for sure.
And yes, I also sniggered at the ludicrousness of them. They're okay, but missed opportunity I feel. |

Some of them are ridiculously unrealistic for any kind of simulation, but I'm hoping that they're only doable on an "easy" skill level.
I'm hoping that on the "Tour" skill level that's mentioned in the achievements we'll have more realistic outcomes. |

I believe there are no difficulties, based on the achievements it seems as if the teams are rated with a difficulty instead of a game difficulty.

You will understand better when you get the game

Actually is not, if you consider that this year there are at least 2 flat stages that finish uphill (stages 1 and 4) and several others that might be open for the exploit (either through a breakaway or a finisher attack...) I dont think that one is so hard to achieve, there are a number of riders who can do it easily.

That is true, there are a number of them which are actually quite hard to unlock, but that doesnt bother me, there will be achievements who everybody will get to unlock and some others who will be reserved only for those who feel really interested in the game and dedicate time and effort to perfect their skills... after all, an achievement is something that should be exceptional

Oh ok when there are good opportunitys for mountain riders to win on a flat stage because of an uphill finish, then it's ok and I will take it back as I thought something like Flat -> Sprint that wouldn't be that great
I hope the sprint finishes are great as I like to sprint and when I am looking at the Konami TDF game finishes, hooray with sprinting 75 km/h while the others do their pace a lot slower

Well you don't want them so easy you can unlock them all in one sitting, that's true. They have got some decent longevity related achievements but I really don't see the point in exceptional achievements like 'win every stage in a TDF' because it basically forces you to play the game a certain way which would not happen in the sport it is supposed to simulate. Almost feels you're being rewarded for exploiting weaknesses in the game's code, and I don't find that fun.
'The Son of the Cannibal' achievement should have been the only 'ultimate' achievement. If you want challenge, it should only be unlockable on expert or something.
Let's hope the game is playable enough to make it enjoyble enough to get the bulk of the achievements listed. Oh, and no broken ones! |

Having read through them again I guess they are just tough except for this one.
"Win a flat stage with a non-sprinter arriving in the peloton". Has that ever happened? Have some of the others ever happened in the history of Le Tour or is that not the point. |

Well, Vinokourov won on the Champs Elysees.
Also Cancellara attacked on the final kilometer to win a stage.
So hard, but not unrealistic. I think it could also work if you are in the breakaway or late attack, win the stage just before the peloton. |

Some of them are a little farfetched, but the point of achievements is that they're something to strive for. Not all players will bother attempting to get them, so the difficulty will mean only those who are really interested in getting them all will spend so long on them.

Yeah you're right, I don't know what I'm whinging about. I don't even bother going for achievements traditionally. There's always a few in other games that are beond my level of dedication.
I guess it's just something to talk about without much more information. |
