Well i know this was an option in PCM 2005 and Crommy has mentioned it in his story but is there actually any way to set a riders peak form date for the season? |

I don't think you can do that in-game.

There is not, no, but our crew member, cmfos, has developed a program in which you can calculate when your rider will peak.
You can download it here: https://www.pcmdaily.com/downloads.php...load_id=65
To learn how to use it I would advice you to read the guide: https://www.pcmdaily.com/readarticle.p...ticle_id=9 |

Definitely read the guide first, it's very complicated! |

I do well using the guide without the program. With a little bit of training i am quite good at hitting peak form when I want to. Normally You will only be able to have two peaks a season without creating too much fatique.

Still, it would be nicer if you could just set a date you want the rider to peak and let the computer handle it. My little calculator is handy but I would much prefer a simpler method to peak the riders. It is SO crucial to have them at optimum fitness at the times you want that I wish that Cyanide could make it simpler for users to get the riders to peak precisely when needed. |

Exactly. But when they have not made that feature in the game You have to rely on peaking your riders manually.
sometimes You forget to peak some manually. Big mistake

There will most likely be a tool available in the download section within the next couple of days that should make our lives a lot easier. *wink*

That would be nice. Also, I've seen Eyolfur's Excel tool for calculating fitness (he's the guy that generated the data that I used for mine). It looked easier to use than mine although I didn't try it extensivel. I found it a French website but it took a bit of searching. I might be able to dig it up if people are interested. |

I tried using yours but it was just too much for me to handle or maybe I'm just too lazy. In either case, I dumped it (sorry) after 10 minutes, which I guess is part of the problem - I should have given it a little more time.
Anyway, some guy on a German forum announced the release of an easy-to-handle peak form tool that keeps track of a rider's race schedule etc.
It's said to be released within the next couple of days.

No worries mate. I know it's a bit clunky. Like I said, it would be much nicer if you could just set the peak date in PCM 2006. For those who want to fine-tune things, the % fitness controls could be available if needed. Hopefully cyanide will do something like that and also provide a race calendar/planner so you can chart out your season in January and then focus on racing for the remainder! |
