Why dont the pro women just follow the men pro tour? I mean how hard can it be to set off 20 minutes after the mens race set off or go past? That way womens cycling would be so much more televised therefore getting more intrest from sponsers and so on. Is it a stupid thought? |

Well, many of the races are set on the same day as the mens version.
We usually just don't show it so much interest. |

Fun to see cavendish and farrar dodgeing past cyclists during the sprints they should place themselves in the middle the road for them to dodge would be intresting to watch. |

Im not sure the Women could catch the men up when leaving 20 mins after passing but hey liking the crazy ideas. I know women tend to do shorter races but the women could start halfway through the course or something when the men have gone past. |

Even in Holland, where we have riders as Marianne Vos and Kirsten Wild, there's not much media attention for women's cycling. It's a bit dissapointing and there should be more media attention. |

it's just a case of why watch womens cycling when you can watch mens? womens sport will never be as popular because most people who watch sport are men who don't care about womens sport. that will never change so womens sport will never be as popular.
like all sports, the womens version is just a slower and less elite version of the mens sport. they show the womens FA cup final on the BBC here in England and every year i switch off after about 15 mins because it is so slow and boring. it's like watching mens football from the 1950's. why would anyone choose to watch womens sport over mens if given the choice? |

It requires money. It isn't easy to get people to invest in Men Pro Cycling, let alone in the Women. And I don't think there'd be many TVs interested in broadcasting it. |

And to get the organisers on board with the idea seems impossible to me aswell.
