"For the first time in the event’s 14 year history, cyclists will finish Jayco Stage 5 at the top of Old Willunga Hill after a challenging ŠKODA King of the Mountain climb, which should be a spectacular finish,” he said.

A new classification process, for ŠKODA King of the Mountain climbs, will be used for the first time at the 2012 event, with each climb given a rating between 1 and 3 determined by their level of difficulty.

Will make it harder for sprinters to win but stil there should few in Top 10. Perfect Tour for likes of Rojas, Sagan or Hagen to win.

about time we had a mountain top finish, sprinters aren't the only ones that need early season racing

Good stuff, but to call it a MTF is a bit exaggerated, isn't it? Anyway, it's a nice addition, and it's good to see that the TDU is willing to make something different.
