yeah!
@stijn, i think all the games have brought something really good to the franchise, except pcm 2009, think about it, 2007 was just a great step up from 06, 2008 revolutionized the game 3d tyres better graphics good gameplay and then 2009 didnt really step up to the mark, and obv 2010 despite it being buggy as hell made the game better to look at... and as will 2011!
but 2007 is my backup right now and im enjoying it more than 2010, 2009 and 2008 i just love it! but 2011 once my pc is fixed im sure will be brilliant.

I would be playing 2007 if it was not because of how the fitness thing works. I just cant make it work properly so I can use one rider in 2 grand tours without fatiguing (even a word?). 2007 got by far the best game play imo |

I still play from time to time when I fancy a quick and easy attempt at a career. Quick because the system requirements are low (in comparison to '10) and easy because the gameplay is loads more straightforward: no need to worry about fetching bottles for team leaders, work out rider's potential progression via their experience levels and reaction to training. I'd actually quite like this to come back and replace the star system we have now, but that's just my personal opinion.
Those careers that get started, they never last - I always forget one thing...the game is buggy, inconsistent and sometimes just plain broke.
I suppose that could be said for any PCM game though, as much as I love 'em, but '07 in particular in my experience |

Yea the experience system was just epic. With the right riders you could go from a very bad team to a continental superior team if not a pt team

PCM07 is quite possibly the worst PCM ever. Seriously.

Still playing it from time to time. Probably the best game of the series so far.
It has much better 3d gameplay than following editions, and also the management part of the game is less buggy.
The huge step forward from 2008 has been the training schedule system. In 2007 you have to daily adjust the training level and it is quite annoying although very precise.
The rider evolution with levels 1-4 was very intuitive and rewarding, although not very realistic. I prefer the new one with the stars, it is more unpredictable and allows to develop very unique riders (with the old system every rider turned out to be the same type of rider within the same specialization)
Another great feature that has been regrattably removed (since 07 version if i remember corretcly) was the leaders' program for the season and the effect on the riders' morale it had. That was brilliant and i really wonder why Cyanide removed it. It makes the game much more realistic and difficult!!!

It's possible for Giro & Vuelta.
Giro & Tour or Tour & Vuelta not at max fitness level
you may use the attached useful excel spreadsheet to help you in planning the fitness schedule of your riders
