I feel that the finance section in this game has about as much depth as a puddle. Especially the "financial update" each month, I mean come on! Still, I see several people asking how to get more money by editing the save game. Therefor, I wonder what your financial strategies are when it comes to the game?
Personally I allways play it safe and never rely on race income to secure me a small financial pluss at the end of the month. In my current career I'm getting about £2000 each month, race income aside.
Do you play it safe or do you hope that the race income will be enough to avoid you seeing red figures? |

I try to play it safe having gone bankrupt in previous save games.
However, I have trouble in knowing what my salary budget is for the following year. This season it seems I've overshot my salary budget quite considerably and now need to earn £100k a month to break even. Yikes! |

I do it so I'm losing (without race income) something between 5000-10000€/month. It'd be quite a disaster if with that I couldn't be on profit (almost) each month. And when I've got into a long term save, when I'm in the 4th/5th season I'll be losing (again, without race income) 10000-25000€/month if I have a decent amount of cash to back it up in case I had a horrible season. |

So tell me. How do know how much your salary budget will be the following season and therefore which riders you will sign? |

I don't know. I just try to keep transfer realistic, and don't let my salary budget to skyrocket in a single season. Of course, sometimes I miscalculate, and I'm forced to get better results to avoid bankrupt. |

When you "contact" a rider to sign him, you can see your salary budget with all current signed riders (including riders signed for next season) at the bottom of the window. Also, "Les directors" impose a maximum wage bill for next season. |

Yes, which is why I don't understand how I managed to be so much over my wage budget this season? I'd looked at salary budget in this window and I seemed to be within it. Confusing... |

Yes, the same question - can I change it in fulleditor? I've got salary squad+staff 220k but it's written that i've got more than 440k. I can't contract Ricco, because I can give him only 2k.
It is possible to change it in editor? |

In fulleditor there are only finan_i_solde and my budget. There is no column about wages in DYN_MANAGER. Did you mean different editor than fulleditor? |

edit the finan_f_solde column to 999999999999 and you are sure to keep financially solvent until the end of times.

I use the FullEditor_V400, and under DYN_manager, longest to the right i have finan_i_solde and finan_i_sponsor_income

I'm sorry to say, but I'm amazed over how many people who edit their finances. I know the whole financial system needs a bit of a makeover, but in my view editing your finances is the same as editing the stats of a rider, i.e. giving Schleck 85 in TT for example. |

Your savegame of course, and you can edit it at any time...

I (all though i have done it) agree with you, i did it now with the first career i managed to keep over 1 year, and to be honest, it ruins a bit of the fun, so no more for me ! From now on i get my money from winning races (something i'm good at )
