Due to the lack of a Pro Tour team carrying the Irish flag as its standard, Kingspan decided to start a new project with the express aim of delivering a team capable of participating and competing at the highest level.
They have appointed me as their man to achieve this target as well as developing and generating further interest in the sport in Ireland given its rich tradition with world class riders of the calibre of Seán Kelly and Stephen Roche in the past.
While there has been no pressure to recruit home based riders, our leader most definitely qualifies as home grown in every sense.
It is hoped that he can inspire the next generation and the teams success will be defined by his individual efforts along with the rest of the team which will be presented shortly. |

The sense that he was born in France, to a French mother and lives in France aswell?
Anyway, good luck!

The completed roster for Kingspan is a mix of nationalties and talent. The hope is that those with the potential can deliver the results to keep the sponsors happy so that the team building can continue year on year.

Before you proceed, you should probably make sure that you have the correct Local.cdb.
"Abelardo Ablanedo" is a bad sign |

The sponsors plans for the season ahead.
Achievable I think as long as we can get invited. |

Looking forward to this thread. Looks like you'll need to get Roche into tip-top condition in June to win the Tour of Slovenia! Tough goal... |

You'll have to bear with me while i'm learning to put everything together, advice greatly appreciated.
Anyways, our season starts at Tour de San Luis. The Australian Championships were a domination display by Cadel Evans who took both ITT and RR home.
I was after starting this game before starting to write so we are on Stage 5.
Van Garderen had taken lead after Stage 4 TT.
The race began and a group of 7 got free, the other teams left us do the chasing and the gap was at 2"45 with 10K left but there was 8K of climbing ahead.
Glen Chadwick felt good and was first to attack. Van Garderen was feeling the pinch and was out of position but Masciarelli was right on Chadwick's wheel
Masciarelli was able to ride Chadwick off his wheel with 3km to go and at same time went straight through the break. Masciarelli was pumping the legs to the finish and distancing himself
And he crossed the line with 54 secs to spare
Stage Result
GC
Great ride from Masciarelli when van Garderen failed. Kingspan now in pole position to take win from first outing, with only 2 stages left |

If you want to get rid of the circles and names for when you take pics you can hit ctrl+U if you plan on taking pics during the race or if you decide to take pics during the replay its "TAB" to get rid of names and the key to the left of Enter will get rid of the circles.
Also if you open the screenshots in Paint or a similar program after you can crop the pics and save them as jpeg so that they load quicker.

Stage 6
New man in the leaders jersey for us to defend today.
A group of 10 were in the breakaway, including LS Haedo and Vanborg (Saxo) Moinard (BMC) Murayev (RadioShack) Frattini (United Healthcare) Rudaskov (Itera Katusha) Giordani (Farnese) Hondo (Lampre) Torckler (Pure Black) and Sullivan (Fly V)
The break was heading towards a 10 min lead and no one was willing to chase so we moved our team to the front
About 20km to go and Chadwick has a dig from the peloton with the leaders still 4 mins up the road
Masciarelli stayed calm and was joined by Szmyd to slowly peg him back
With just over 1km to go we got him back and the breakaway was under pressure to stay ahead as well
But in the end Murayev managed to stay away to hang on for victory with Masciarelli runner up
Stage
GC
Victory assured for Kingspan, barring accident. The stuff of dreams! |

Tour de San Luis
Stage 7 San Luis - El Trapiche
With the GC battle over and done with, we decided to send someone in the break today, Diego Milan was the man who got into the BOTD with Murphy(BMC) Curvers(Skil) Gnezda(Adria Mobil) Firsanov(Itera) Giordani(Farnese) Hasek(PSK Whirlpool) Northey(Pure Black) De Wilde(Veradens) Szeghalmi & Gavazzi (Lampre)
The break worked well together but was gathered in with just under 4km to the line. Felline took the wheel of Milan, Hondo was on Modolo's wheel while on the far side Lemoine was getting towed by his Saur team-mate.
On the line it was tight between Lemoine and Modolo as the Saur man seemed to have celebrated too early, but he held on. Felline with a great podium finish.
No change in the GC led to a 1st and 3rd position for Kingspan
Next race is the Grand Prix de Marseilaises
Can someone let me know how to get rid of "Save" and "Next" in replay mode? |
