So I am well into my second year having played every stage and still enjoying it.
My question is: are there any issues playing the game long term?
I think I have heard of teams making ridiculous signings or the AI cretaed riders not having very balanced development?
Anybody have any input? |

All I know is you might see some pretty strange signings after a while. I got Cavendish to Rabobank, for example. |

Yes, I'm in my third season now. Some unusal signings for sure, like Wiggins to Katusha for instance. But then there are rumours in real life that Boonen might go to Astana and that seems weird too!
Sky have signed quite a few British riders, which I like (Kristian House for instance), and Leopard seem to have signed every decent rider under the sun. And I've managed to sign Luis Leon Sanchez to Andalucia (mind you we are a PT team now).
Rider development also turns out some interesting results. Peter Sagan is a monster now, and Swift has turned into a top sprinter (quite realistic perhaps!).
But on the whole, I haven't noticed too many wildly unusual developments and am still very much enjoying my game. |

I noticed sometimes the salary calculations go completely out of whack and you suddenly can't sign riders anymore while you still have budget room or you end up way above budget (the max 700k) in the next season |

Strong teams is a problem. Look at these teams from PCM 09 and 10 were I have reached 2014:
Pcm 09
Pcm 10
-The simulation also gets a lot slower.
-As said, weird signings. For example: Farrar and Cav in HTC. Schleck Brothers in Katusha. Nibali in Cofidis etc...

In my career Astana signed both Hushovd and Boonen, while Andy Schleck went to Garmin. I'm in the middle of a new transfer period (July 18th) so I hope I will see some more surprises.
Personally I enjoy my career more and more the crazier the signings get. I feel like it makes the game much more unpredictable. |

I usually edit the transfers if i see unrealistic ones. For instance, Contador and Andy to Astana. |

That's for sure tha nastiest bug in the management part of the game.
In term of transfers, i'm in 2017 with FdJ and Garmin every year signs all the best GT contenders (A.Schleck, Gesink, Kreuziger and Brajkovic on the same team! - i manually edit the savegame in order to have more realisit rosters).
HTC does the same with sprinters (Cav, Farrar, Boonen).
Created riders tend to be a little weaker than the original ones (with the exeption of my french super talent with 85 in both Hills and Stamina) |

A tip for avoiding these strange transfers, at the beging of a career edit the lenght of contracts of key riders of the other teams to 3-4 seasons. |
