Hi guys,

for my custom database, I want to edit the age of the riders. As it's a lot of work to edit every single rider one by one, I opened an exported DYN_CYCLIST from the Full Editor with Excel, changed the ages in groups and saved it again as an XML-file.

My problem is that the Full Editor isn't able to re-open the file. It just shows me a single, empty line. That happens as well if I edit only a single thing.

Can anyone help me?

Are you sure that you're saving it as XML-data? There are several types of XML, so it's quite important to set it to the correct one.

The only type that has xml in its name (from the types that I can chose of with Excel) is called "XML-calculation table 2003".

I'm not 100% sure that that is the correct type, but if I chose that one, the other files in the export folder become visible, which usually means that they are of the same type of file. But I can be mistaken with that.

It's called "XML-data" in my version.

"XML-calculation table 2003" doesn't sound quite right, but I don't really know.

If I open the file's characteristics, it says XML-data as well, so I'm pretty sure that I save it in the right type of data. Any other suggestions?

Can you perhaps upload the DYN_cyclist file (make sure to zip it first)?

I did it manually now with Hannes Editor which took some time but it at least works now. But if your interested in it nevertheless, here is the file.

I changed only a single thing: Nick Van der Lijke is now 19, instead of 18. The file's size grew from 21kb to 40kb and the Full Editor shows nothing but a single, empty line, as I've written.

Another thing that I maybe should have said it earlier: As the file is write-protected, I have to save it as a copy at another place, rename it and copy it to the folder again, thus erasing the old file. Don't know whether that has any impact.
