I just finished playing Ronde van Vlaanderen and came over some very interesting results. Lets ignore the fact that it was a 31-man sprint where Cancellara outsprinted Boonen, but was still beaten by Boasson Hagen. Lets look at the 6th place instead. It was occupied by a rider named Bewley. His stats in my game are:
FL: 72
HIL: 63
COB: 72
STA: 68
SP: 62
I am aware of the bug where all the classics end up in a bunch sprint, but i was not aware of this happening. Do you experience this aswell?
I was using a created rider with 78 in COB (yeah, yeah, I'm a lousy cheat), but he was completely dead in the end. I didn't try to attack, I only tried to stay near the front. In the end he ended up in 30th place.
Now I'm not the best guy in the world on cobbles, but I did pretty well here. I put him on the dot at about 30 on all the sections, except for the end where I had to keep him at around 45. He had full bars untill the last 6km. There was no increase in pace, he just suddenly got a heart rate of 180+ and the rest is history.
Do you have any tips as to how you approach a situation like this? I just thinks it's weird that he get's over the cobbles just fine, but is dead on the flats.
using Roturn's RVV helps make the race much better, but I have definitely had similar problems.
As far as Bewley goes, his stats are really weak compared to what I would expect, although that isn't really relevant, but sometimes random riders do pull out results like that, especially if there is a 30 man sprint

Maybe a low flat stat? Or resistence. it is kinda normal he would have problems with the fast pace in the end. Having a helper for your leader in the final km would be good.
