Is there a search function on bike route toaster to find a specific location? As I cannot seem to find one but it seems strange they would eave it out.

No. If you need a search function, use google maps and then go to this area in bikeroutetoaster.
That`s how I do it.

Ok thats how i've been doing it seems strange they didnt incorporate one themselves
