I am having a bit of a dilemma; I will be trying to attend all three Grand Tours and I have two riders who i will be going for, Thomas Dekker and a created rider (Kirchen-type).
None of the routes are very mountanious this year so I should be able to get a top 10, I think. I will be sending Dekker to one GT and my Created Rider to the other two, but which ones?
I am thinking of sending Dekker to the Giro and my created rider to the Tour and Vuelta. Would this be the way to go or would it be better to send Dekker to the Tour and my created rider to the Giro and Vuelta? I am thinking about the rest between the Tour and Vuelta, of course. |

With the training schedules it`s easier to have one for Giro and Vuelta and one for the Tour because of the relaxing time in between.
But I had Hesjedal in the Tour and Vuelta. Tour at top level and Vuelta still top 10 in the overall as the AI has also weaker form there. |

I know the Vuelta is the easiest to do well in, but how much harder is the Tour then the Giro? I won the Vuelta last year with my created rider so he is a contender for a podium finish, atleast top 5. |

Much harder, although a top 5 with an 80 Mountain is normally possible

How do you think I would fare with Dekker as a leader? His stats as off now (January 12th) are, if I remember correctly, MO: 75 HILL: 76 TT: 78 |

depends if you have a second long TT or not, and also obviously on the database but a top ten would be very impressive.

I am using the PCM Daily 2010 DB. I think all three tous have a second TT at about 40-50 km.
I think I have desided to to send Dekker to the Giro and my created rider to the Tour and Vuelta. This is my first year in the Pro Tour so I'm only looking to stay up there for another year. Looking at the teams that have been relegated it seems I should be able to secure my place with about 300 points. |
