White screen?

I've been using the PCMdaily2011db for over the last few months since it's come out, but just recently my PCM started acting up. I'm unsure as to whether or not that is due to the DB but I'm thinking that something else is at fault. Whenever I start the game at some point I will get a totally white screen and nothing happens anymore. It happens while in the menus even. The game has always worked perfectly (as far as PCM can) and all of a sudden this has started happening.

I've reinstalled the game and DB from scratch but still no dice. Updated my video card drivers, no luck. Does this sound at all familiar to anyone of you?

Recommended: 512 MB 100% DIRECTX 9 AND SHADERS 3.0 COMPATIBLE (NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT or ATI Radeon X1900 or better)

this is what they recommended.

i done a google search on the white screen problem, and some sites say that it happens when your video card cant handle the graphics of the game.

Deek: Logic says that the game wouldn't have worked previously then.

Devnl: Did your game crash? It might be a save-game related issue. Open My Docs and rename the Pro Cycling Manager to something like PCM-backup. Then relaunch the game. Any difference?

If not, did you try deactivating your firewall and/or anti virus program?

It has worked perfectly for over the past half year or so. I did a fresh install with everything removed (all in My Docs and Program Files) starting a new game and got the problem. Firewall and AntiVirus I haven't tried yet, but wouldn't they have caused issues in the half a year that I did play the game?
