Signing cyclists after ediing their contracts

I edited the contracts of the riders so they finish after 2011 but i still can't sign them, is it even possible to sign them?

I think it is possible to create a new contract (=new line in dyn_contract_cyclist), not activated, but I'm unsure about the gene_i_date value - the other values explain themselves

If I remember right, gene_i_date is the day when the contract has been offered, so it would be uninportant.

But I don't even understand the question from you, Supercyclist, so what do you want to do and why?

His question (I think) is the same as mine. Through the editor I edit a rider's contract in a savegame to expire at the end of 2011 so I could sign him myself this year. However, if I try to sign him this year in the game, clicking on the contact button (or whatever it's called) will not bring me in the screen where I can negotiate an offer - but instead will pop up a message that he still is under contract and I can only sign him next year (or something like that). Anybody have solution? Or at least can reassure me that he will be withou a contract by the end of 2011 or start of 2012 so I'll be abe to sign him then, still in time for the new season?

If I am not wrong, there is a column in DYN_cyclist about the contracting state, but I neither know how this column is called nor if it is the culprid for your problem.
