Backup your PCM-folder in My Docs - then delete the original folder and launch the game. |

Backup in general is just to copy the files to another path.
Rightclick->copy->go somewhere else and then rightclick->paste |

If that doesn't work, there's something wrong with the actual game installation, and you will therefore have to reinstall the game. |

I would do as CrueTrue suggested.
After you have uninstalled the game, do this:
1 - Delete the pcm folder in my documents
2 - Install the game
3 - Check if the game runs
4 - Install the patch (1.0.4.1)
5 - Check if the game runs
6 - Install the DB (if you want to) |

Last idea: With Notepad, open the GraphicConfiguration.xml that you mentioned earlier. In ResolutionHeight/Width, set it to the same as your screen resolution. Set Fullscreen to false.
Save and open the game. |

Click on the report: "To see what data this error report contains, click here."
Paste the entire report in here, maybe we'll figure out the problem then. |

I am not sure, but wasn't there a pcm folder in %APPDATA%? (Start the windows explorer and type %APPDATA%, then press enter)
If there is a pcm folder, delete it and try again |

It's there, yes, but it hasn't really made any difference since PCM08. |

Did you delete the folder I mentioned?
About the error message. Look in the game installation folder, maybe you find the error log file there. Open it with an text editor and past the content here. |
