I was nearing the end of a stage which was as good as completely flat, only a tiny mountain 100km before the finishing line. I have all my best riders there, everybodies form was above 85, their "daily form" was +1 and +2 and there's no wind. Somehow, 7km before the linem everyone gets a heartbeat above 190 and is completely exhausted and can't sprint. For some reason this doesn't seem to affect the other riders in the front at all and they sprint past me... in the end my best rider was nr. 22.

I can also add that this happend first to my sprinter. The first guy in the leadout train didn't suffer at all, but the guy infront of my sprinter was also exhausted. It seemed to affect my riders in the same order they where placed in in the train.

How can I avoid this happening? I hadn't attacked earlier with anyone, no action what so ever. It was like someone simply flicked a switch...

You started your train much too early for PCM10, I would start it at about 5km if you have 2 leadout men and 2 sprinters and closer to 4 if you have only 1 leadout and 2 sprinters.

My strategy now is to have leadout - decent sprinter - sprinter. With the leadout on dot set to 99 at about 4km to go. This just takes your guys to the front and have your decent sprinter start at 3km. It's not longer the case where you can start the train from 8 or 9km out like in the past.

for me i move my riders to the front and start giving my first rider and 2nd rider in the leadout train gels at 10km

8km - start the 4 man train, good flat rider first, good flat and accelleration 2nd, ledout man with good sprinting skills 3rd and finally the sprinter.

3km, hit sprint on the 2nd leadout man if he not too tired, will proper leadout man and sprinter, hit sprint on the leadout man a bit later. finally hit sprint on the sprinter when other sprinter start to close or from 1.5km out from the line.

all on AGRESSIVE =D

I dont agree, for me it is still possible on hard to start lead-out right from 12km remaining.Of course you need at least 5man and a sprinter, who is following only on 50%.Then no exhaustion for me,only in few casesSmile

I have the same problem in my story. ;(
I reinstalled the game, installed 1.0.4.1 and hope it will work now as it did before the last stages.
For me it didn`t matter if I start the train or take another rider`s wheel with 12km or 5km. The heart beat was just amazingly high and in the end I had no speed with my riders.

First test after the new installation was already quite positive but it was a breakaway winning and so the sprint afterwards might have been slower.

I usually have a train with 3 guys; M. Ignatiev, T. Veelers and Sabatini. At about 4.5k I dot Ignatiev at 99 and have the other two follow him. At 3k I start the leadout with Veelers before wrapping it all up with Sabatini.

The problem here was that out of nowhere, at about 8-9km, everyone except Veelers was completely exhausted. In about 2 seconds they had a heartbeat of 190+ and no energy left. Both Ignatiev, Sabatini and Sagan were completely empty all of a sudden, whilst Veelers didn't have any problem at all... untill he was outsprinted by Knees who beat everyone. He actually got so far ahead that there was a timegap!

because of the sprint bug on pcm10, it's better to have a good FLAT and STAMINA stat rider as leadout man, you need to be leading going into the last KM, not much happens on PCM10 in the last km. so for me at Sky i have Flecha as last leadout man in my train and stick him on dot 99 from 3km out and launch my sprinter around 1.5km out

I make my train from 11km and with 3 lead-Out man and 2 sprinters. i I haven't got any problems but if your sprinter has a weak Flat stat it's maybe more usefull to come to the front in the last 4km.

Well if your willing to devote 5 men to it then sure i guess it works. If your aiming for gc success in the tour then you cant be using up all your riders energy everyday on just sprints.

For example in GT i have a leader,free-role rider or two, sprinter and then 5-6 riders for helping,so it is not a problem from this group to choose 3-4 men to lead-out my sprinter(they are paid fot itSmile). And i think leading-out for sprinter is not so energy stealing for the whole tour as attacking or sprinting, but i could be wrong with that

I did the same in my GT. My sponsor wanted to win the sprinter's jersey and I selected my team accordingly.

I had a train with Vaitkus, Lorenzetto (lead-off) and Davis (Sprinter) for the last 4 km. Guys like Grivko, Bazayev and Iglinskiy did the 12 to 4km part. I won 6 stages that way (and the Green jersey). I was a non-factor in the GC (A. Schleck won the Tour) and my best rider finished just inside the top 50 Grin. But GC was never a goal (di Gregorio was my best climber).

Dot 85-87 into the final 12km. Don't panic if they start to drop back. Ramp it up to 90 inside the final 5k and you should move up to the front again and be ready for a sprint.

Then sprint as normal.

i've got the ultimate lead out in Flecha, EBH, Swift, CavendishCool

Going to rip up the Tour with that line up.

I usually set up my train at 12k but don't send Flecha to the front until about 5k. Give him his gel and put him at 100% on the dot. As soon as he hits 3k he sprints. EBH jumps out between 2.5-2k to go, Swift jumps at 2-1.5k and then cav lets rip with 1k to go. I usually end up with 3 riders in the top 6 or 7.
