Its alright, probably not a big difference in terms of results but at least you feel more in power.
Biggest problem is that it can take a long time |

I do sometimes depending on my mood. I iwsh there was still a simple sim like in 06, jus press a button and up pop the results |

There is a big difference between quick simulation and detailed simulation. Detailed simulation uses the stage profile to simulate the result, so if anybody plays the game by only simulating, he should use the detailed simulation.
And it does not take very long. Once the loading is over you can jump to the final result by pressing the button.
But if you only simulate unimportant races then it does not matter (obviously).
BTW: Flat stages should be simulated using the quick simulation because the profile could destroy the sprint finishes. (You all have seen it that a small hill at the end of the stage kills your sprinters.)
Edit:
For all who have no clue how to use the detailed simulation:

Then myabe PCM is not a game for you,if even quick simulation makes you impatient (cycling is about a long-term suffering and so is PCM sometimes)

PCM takes hours upon hours of pain, agony and hardship. You struggle untill you are sweating blood and crying your eyes out. You never feel like you're nearing the end, but when you finally do you just end up with a slap in the face.
Kinda like sex, when I think about it. |

well i thoroughly enjoy the game as i play it. i normally have one game on the go in which i play every race and then one where i sim it all
of course what i would really like to do i sto be playing PCM 06 but that has stopped working for me |

a minute or two times a hundred each season. Im not complaining, I like the idea of a detailed sim but I'm juts impatient I use my season planner to asign my riders to the races at the beginning of the season. In the game I click on the next day and select no. It then simulates without any action from my side. Cannot be faster than that.
(Yes, it takes some time to plan the season. So if you don't care about season planning, just click on the next day and forget about it.) |

is anyone able to givbe more info/ideas about how to use detailed sims? i have seen the link above from lachi but still unsure. If on a mountain stage should i use the three bars and if i assign a lead out man does this mean they will help the leader up the muntains as much as possible or is this only for sprinting.
any help would be greatly appreciated

Lead out is for sprinting only.
You always should set the three bars, no matter what stage type it is.
I think you will not get many hints about the mountain simulation because most people play mountains in 3D. |

cheers lachi, i have found more info. I just want to understand that i should not use detailed sim on a sprint stage but quick sim these stages due to stage profiles..is this right?
