Team Goals

I playing a season with HTC that has as one of its team goals to win the Paris-Nice. In that race i ended 2nd with P.Velits and in the team goals screen there is a yellow tick alongside the race.
What does it means?I know that when you fulfill a team's expectations for a race the tick is green but yellow?

It means you came close and will get some recognition of that in terms of sponsor confidence (and budget?)

the goals don't really effect the sponsor confidence (not more than any other race) - goals aren't important at all

MacC and Anonymer are partially right.
1. The yellow tick means that you "almost" reached the goal.
2. It is not important to reach the goals of the main sponsor, but they give a small bonus to the sponsor happiness. (Winning Tireno-Adriatico would have given more sponsor happiness then coming second in P-N.)
3. If you reach the goals of the secondary sponsors, you get additional money for the actual season, so it depends on your season planning if you need that money or not. (Should be obvious.)
