So maybe this is already noticed before, it's really annoying that all top sprinters get over the Capi's like they were flying and your own sprinter hasn't got the neccesary sprint power left.
Any ideas to debug it? Maybe a version without Le Manie?

Do you make sure that your rider is at the front when the hills start?
Do you use the "dot" to ride over the hills?
Do you protect your sprinter? |

Indeed it`s really hard to get sprinters like Cavendish, Farrar or other big favourites with a weaker hill stat over the hills. But the AI sprinters are always feeling good as they easily take a top10 result.
But another bug is that the last descent is a narrow road. So you can`t follow other riders even if you have full power like I had with Haussler in my story.
So I might rebuild this stage next when I have some time. Then positioning is easier when the road is wider and probably I might add a bit more flat part in the end as it`s unrealistic to have just a 1km flat part because of the 1:10 scale. But the problem with the weak hill sprinters might be the same. |

I had the same problem with Koldo Fernandez and he had Mikel Neve protecting him, he got dropped on the last climb but yet Cavendish, similar hill stat as Fernandez made it over the climb, it is really annoying but I don't think it's bugged, maybe form affected mine.

Quite sure it`s bugged. 96 fitness Farrar with no chances. Already struggling on the second last climb while Cavendish with 79 fitness but AI was 3rd.
Maybe you can handle to stay in the group but then that exhausted that you don`t really have chances in the final sprint. |

Don't think it's a bug, more a difficulty problem, on easy Farrar could get over the climb and win for sure - that's just pcm gameplay, maybe annoying but not a real bug |

Probably a bug in the AI

It is not a bug, it is a combination of general problems of this game:
- On higher difficulty the stats of your rider are lowered.
- The game uses a 1:10 scale on the distance but not on the height making short climbs harder.
- The stage editor uses real geo data allthough the game uses 1:10 scale.
- Stage builders do not consider these points when building stages.
- Stage builders use small roads allthough it fucks up the game play.
- Most DB builders set the riders stats without testing the race results.

- The game uses a 1:10 scale on the distance but not on the height making short climbs harder. That`s probably the biggest gameplay problem ingame.
- Stage builders do not consider these points when building stages. That`s what I hope to "repair" as soon as I do another version.
- Stage builders use small roads allthough it fucks up the game play. Totally agreeing on this one. When I started doing stages I also used them for my 2008 Tour variant as it`s much easier on uphill parts to avoid errors. After playing a bit longer I realized this problem and never did these narrow roads again on mountains. |

The problem with the small roads is also the problem in Milano-Sanremo. That's why you hardly can follow other sprinters in the last 3-4 kilometre sequence.
The only tip i can give in that case is to position your sprinter nearly on the front of the peleton, well, if he has enough energy left.
- The game uses a 1:10 scale on the distance but not on the height making short climbs harder.
- The stage editor uses real geo data allthough the game uses 1:10 scale.
I never really thought of that...that's exactly the big problem. That is really misplanned by Cyanide. |
