problems with CD

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this has been discussed previously.

My computer doesn't want to read my PCM 2010 cd. Other computers can read the cd and my computer can read other cd's (both music and game cd's). Has anyone heard of this before? Is there some copy protection violation or something like that which conflicts with the game? I uninstalled deamon tools but unfortunately that didn't help.

Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, it is a DVD. So your computer needs a DVD reader to read it.

If that is not your problem, you have to be more specific. Do you see data on the DVD? Did you double-click on the installation program in the DVD?

Guess I should be a little more specificSmile

I have the game installed on my computer and everything used to work fine. I haven't played the game in maybe 6 months and have installed and uninstalled loads of other programs in between. So basically everything used to be fine but now my computer won't read the DVD. I can't see it in explorer or anything. My DVD drive may be broken of course but I tested a bunch of other DVD's / CD's and they work fine. Also I tested the PCM 2010 DVD on another computer where it works. So it's all a little strange.

I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this before (seeing as I remember there use to be some difficulties with the copy protection). Of course it may very well be my DVD drive which is broken/having a hard time reading that specific DVD.

It sometimes helps to update the Starforce driver. I've no idea why, but it's worth an attempt: https://www.star-force.com/support/dri...t/drivers/

Edit: And yes, the game hates all kinds of emulation software.
