The switch to PCM10 brings a whole new calendar of racing, although in the most part, the calendar retains many of its mainstays.
ProTour
The German team sponsors are rolling in, but its too late for the Deutschland Tour. Forced to take a budget cut, they race drops from PT to C1 this season, with less stages - in its PT place comes Tour of Oman, retaining the mix of 1 hard mountain stage, with an ITT and a TTT.
Also out is Vuelta a Asturias, replaced by a race that returns to the ProTour having featured a couple of years. Demand is high in South America, with a number of top riders and a Colombian PT team - so a 12 stage Vuelta a Colombia has gone PT. One for the climbers that one! We also see Vuelta a la Region de Murcia in for Criterium International. The style of route is the same, flat stage, hilly stage, short TT.
Over on the classics side of things, GP Yekeratinburg and Badaling International do not have PCM10 forms so are replaced by GP Mendrisio and GP Liechtenstein respectively - the latter being the first one-day mountain PT classic. On the flatter side of things, an extra flat one day race - the return to the PT of the Vattenfalls Classic.
Eindhoven TTT has been relocated to Denmark, a Bridge, and Sweden - while the lack of gameplay effecting cobbles in Strade Bianche sees it's ProTour spot taken by the East Midlands Cicle Classic.
Continental
20 HC races as usual. Stage race wise, Franco-Belge, Corsica International, Bayern Rundfahrt and Giro del Capo all step up from C1. And the Tour de Pologne returns to the management game!
With the classics, Bloemfontein is renamed to MTN as it's location changes - it remains season opener, with Japan season ender. Down Under Classic is now HC, while the ProRace Berlin new to the game - taken the CT spot vacated by Vattenfall. The 2nd HC cobbled race is now Profronde van Drenthe.
Still plenty of C1 races too, from across the globe. A number of new races feature - youll have to look them up for yourself.

Great job SN - so many awesome races that I kinda wish I was riding CT with an all-african team instead. Tour of Swaziland ftw! |

@Wacko: It's still a monument, look on the calender. Just a minor error in the race profiles forum.

Looks to be a lot of awesome races in that calendar, great job SN.
I wonder about Giro dell'Emilia though, should it be a hill classic or a mountain classic? I doubt it is flat as the profile says in this thread: https://www.pcmdai...ost_369406 |

Officially it should be hilly. Mountain stat will most likely play a role aswell (similar to Lombardia and Fleche Wallone).

Will the last stage of the Deutschland-Tour be a hilly or a mountain stage?

Mountain. The race would have been PT, if it would have had a TTT in it (now it was replaced by Oman).

Still working on it. So I don`t know how it will look ingame but I think it`s mountain.
As you can see, the highest mountains are ~800m, so probably not as much selection than on Alpe d'Huez

Emelia should be hilly, thats an error on the profile.
And as roturn says, its hard to judge it's difficulty until it has been made

Tour de France news:
The route is going to be changed a little bit. Im looking into PCM11 TDF stages made by the likes of tsmoha and emmea, to replace the PCM10 stages linked to in the Tour de France thread - where possible, Im looking to choose profiles as similar to the route initially planned, as I can.
The reason for this is because of what Crue has written on the main page:
in PCM10 stages, the AI teams won't know when to bring their leaders forward, which means that AI team leaders will often be caught behind.
Its inevitable that we have to use some PCM10 stages in races - but many have been converted, and some were just 2011 routes, so hopefully already have a PCM11 version, such as the Giro.
This unpredictability could make things interesting in the season, but it seemed only fair that as much of the Tour de France as possible has PCM11 stages, considering this is the race that is worth the most ranking points in the game.

I have to say I really hope you convert all races which is possible to convert. I think we can all accept splits and so, but it is a shame if it's going to be a split in "every race" that decides who can fight for the win, and a lot of favourites/captains are caught behind, because AI doesn't know when it's logic to ride a team leader to the front.
That said, I have no clue how much work it is to convert stages, and I won't have problems if you don't convert all possible. |

Stages are easy to convert, it just relies on a couple of factors that are more of a problem:
- The stage maker is still active, and willing to convert them
- The stage maker kept the zcts file, which was used to make the stage
I dont understand why any stage maker would delete their zcts files, but it seems that many do.

Most of my stages are already converted. So do you use my classics or Cyanide`s?
Unfortunately I cannot convert my Lombardia race, so there you have to use Cyanide`s version. I really hope they have the new version, too.
I think the only not converted Man Game race by me is the Tour of Southland, but I will definitely do these before the race comes. |

Many of the stages were taken from the PCMDaily DB, so I imagine they are your classics that were used

Can we delay race planners until the final profiles are put up please?

PT teams have got a longer timeframe to do them anyway - but like I say, theyre only being replaced with similarly styled stages, so you should really be able to sort out most of the planner.
For CT teams, there wont be any prfoiles changes, so fill them in asap - especially if racing in MTN or Tachira
