The small nations of San Marino and Liechtenstein link up with Hungary, who only have 3 riders in the DB. The only contracted San Marino rider is Paolo Scarponi of Wiggle, who came 5th in the recent U23 Worlds. For Hungary, the aging Laszlo Bodrogi rides for UniCredit while Liechtenstein have 3. 100% Me own both Rinner and Jiriakov - but Jiriakov was loaned to Auber this season, while Yamaha have youngster Nico Gauer.
7 riders went clear early on: Wiggle's Scarponi and another Scarponi from San Marino, Jiriakov, Rinner and Gauer of Liechtenstein, and Bodrogi and Toth from Hungary.
From these 4, a group of 3 split off - crucially including 1 from each country: Jiriakov, Paolo Scarponi and Toth. The 4 behind merged back in with the rest of the field.
Toth was eventually dropped and caught by Dario Giancecchi, who rode for Team Ultra Adventure last season.
Giancecchi is 3 minutes behind the leading 2 with 45km to go, so unlikely to be a problem for Paolo Scarponi. But Jiriakov is starting to think of not just becoming Liechtenstein champion, but winning this race - he drops Scarponi with 40km to go.
And alarmingly for Scarponi, Giancecchi is closing in. Just 1'40 behind with 20km to go.
In the Hungarian bottle, Toth had looked in a strong position, but is now caught by a group containing Rinner, two San Marino riders, and Hungaran Lengyel!
Jiriakov wins the race! He becomes the Liechtenstein national champion
No need for Scarponi to worry in the end, he takes 2nd and the San Marino crown
And winning the sprint for 4th, Lengyel is the new Hungarian champion! Toth having been dropped from this group anyway
TT time, and first up the two quickest rides of the day - both Hungarians. Bodrogi dissapointed in the Road Race, but for the Time Trial this is probably the last year for him to win the title once again. RR Champion Lengyel pushes him close. 12 seconds in it, but Bodrogi has his victory!
The next two quickest are both from Liechtenstein. Rinner vs Jiriakov - both owned by the same 100% Me team. And the man in those colours, Rinner, comes out on top today
And the next 3 quickest riders just so happen to be from San Marino. Paolo Scarponi isnt going to double up though, he is the 3rd of those riders. The winner is Federico Valentini
