Notable in their absence here, are Petronas' Azizulhasni Awang, and Cillit Bang's Anuar Manan. This leaves Haidar Anuawar as the most well known rider, while Red Bull also has Shahrulnizam. A similarly named rider is on Falcon's team, alongside Mat Amin.

For most of the race, Haidar Anuawar, Ng, Rosdi and Zainal lead. With Mat Amin, Shalrulnizam and Fauzi chasing, and then Che Samsudin, and Loh. But with 17km to go, theyve all come back together.

And is surely heading to victory, quickly building a 40 second lead. It would be a great result for him, and lets not forget, he only rode in Avenir for Falcon (a very creditable 16th overall), so is a free agent, and oh ... he's CRASHED!

Ng is back in it then, and has Fauzi with him - another free agent who responded to the final lap attack.

Its left to Red Bull to try and defeat the free agents, and they sure know it - Haidar Anuawar leads off the sprint with a full 3km to go

But the downhill end favours the leader, and so Fauzi takes the championships!

That may well boost Fauzi's hopes of finding a contract for 2012 - something that Mat Amin will have no doubt thought could be coming his way. But that dramatic crash means he doesnt win, and is only 9th.

The absence of defening TT champ Awang has already been mentioned, and so Mat Amin hoped to avenge his RR crash and win the TT instead

But he wasnt the favourite today, and must settle for 3rd. The new TT champion is 25 year old Sea-Keong Loh - a British Airways rider in 2009
