As mentioned in the Japanese championships thread, 2012 heralds a Japanese team in the game - and the team has already revealed an intention to look into riders from other Asian nations. So step up Hong Kong and China - although Red Bull are here aswell.
The field splits in 2 early on, including only oneRed Bull Ji (China). Bbox' Wei is here, plus Chinese free agent Zhang and the Hong Kong duo Peng and Hua, seen here trying to ride away - from fellow Hong Kong rider in the group Tang
Soon though Jianhua Ji has gone clear alone
Behind is the battle for 2nd - and for the Hong Kong championships. But not between Peng and Hua. Kin-San Wu has ridden across to a net 2nd on the road, with Wang-Yip Tang looking to stay with him. They ride together for a while, but with 40km to go, Wu attacks
Jianhua Ji takes the Chinese title
And a Red Bull double it is, Wu being the Hong Kong champion
But credit to Wang-Yip Tang, 3rd place, and the only rider to stay relatively close to Red Bull today
1 Jianhua Ji Red Bull 4h10'30 2 Kin-San Wu Red Bull + 3'20 3 Wang-yip Tang Team 1 + 4'49 4 Cheng Ji Team 2 + 9'01 5 Gang Xu Team 2 s.t. 6 Wei Zhang Team 1 s.t. 7 Yuan Wei Bbox - Bouygoues Télécom s.t. 8 Kuei-hsiang Peng Team 3 s.t. 9 Kuan-Lai Hua Team 3 s.t. 10 Wen Hao Li Festina - Corona + 10'50 11 Fu-yu Li Team 4 s.t. 12 Chun-te Chiang Team 4 + 13'59 13 Yi-lin Liu THE CONTROLTEAM + 28'55

Cillit Bang's Haijun Ma has not shown up - a dream come true for Festina's Wen Hao Li. Rather than a certain 2nd place, it is a certain victory for him!
The Hong Kong battle is again expected to be between Wu and Tang
Tang led at Split 1, Wu led at Split 2 - and theres only 5 seconds between not only these 2 at the finish, but a 3rd Hong Kong rider Kuei-hsiang Peng who undoubtedly has the strongest finish of the 3.
But the Hong Kong winner, just, is Kin-San Wu - doing the double!
1 Wen Hao Li Festina - Corona 1h07'47 2 Gang Xu Team 2 + 1'23 3 Jianhua Ji Red Bull + 1'38 4 Wei Zhang Team 1 + 1'57 5 Kin-San Wu Red Bull + 2'02 6 Kuei-hsiang Peng Team 3 + 2'06 7 Wang-yip Tang Team 1 + 2'07 8 Fu-yu Li Team 4 + 2'09 9 Yuan Wei Bbox - Bouygoues Télécom + 2'11 10 Cheng Ji Team 2 + 2'19 11 Chun-te Chiang Team 4 + 3'00 12 Kuan-Lai Hua Team 3 + 3'04 13 Yi-lin Liu THE CONTROLTEAM + 4'36
