NEWBIES QUESTION : YOUNG STARS

Hello, I'm new to this game and this site, so I apologize if my question has been covered elsewhere, I've tried some searching.
I am playing in 'normal' difficulty and have my custom team promoted to the Pro Tour. So far I'm enjoying the game except for one major "glitch" : there are far too many young new superstars without specialization pop up in the 2nd season, their attributes are all high with no particular skill stand out. Both Cya Tour and Continental Tour Ranking of 2011 are currently topped by 23 year old riders. Even my lame scout can spot three above 79 future greats in Basque region only, they relegate my old leader to the 4th best rider in my team. And almost every other team have such youngster who suddenly make any talking about the Schlecks before a GT irrelevant.
Is it me doing something wrong before setting up a new game or is it just normal with this game?

Are you running the latest patch? Which on do you currently have? I think there was a problem with the earlier ones with young superstars. |

Many thanks for the quick response, now that I know where the problem lies. As I said, I'm really new to this and am still playing with the original DB, soon it's going to change |

The last time I heard about this super talents was a long time ago, so I think they might have fixed it with a patch.
But not sure about this.

You can install the latest patch from the this site or from cyanide. I believe you need to start a new career in order to have changed results |

Thanks. I don't mind starting a new game as long as I get rid of this problem, I've got to the point that I hate my new stars for making my old team seem useless before I can even fully grab how the game works.

It is but next time try searching(pretty sure this has been mentioned) and when creating a new thread title don't use all caps because its very annoying. |
