Hi guys
The game crashes randomly. Not my PC or windows but the game just hangs and then shuts down. I have windows 7 (64 bit). When I start it, it says something about the game not fitting the colour schemes etc? Could this play a role? WOndows then apparently changes its color scheme to "basic".
I will start a race and then get to normally the last 5 km's before it does this. I have downloaded a patch for the game (not sure which one but it was around a 100 megs in size) but it makes no difference.
Is there any suggestions etc?
I have 8 gig ram and a 1000 watt power supply. My rig can handle all my other games so I am not sure if it is due to hardware. Maybe a windows issue?

If the game continues to crash while playing the stages, it seems like you're playing with too much detailed settings.. this Windows-thing about the colour schemes shouldn't be the reason! But if the game often crashes later in a stage, you should try to lower your graphic-settings.

Another comment..... the game hangs. It is not a blue screen that the video adapter normally gives should the screencard be overburdened.

As far as I know many games change the color scheme to basic so that is no problem. But if you really want to know, just set it to basic before you start the game.
If the game crashes at the end of the stage, then it must be related to the graphical options. It is somewhat a windows issue because the game is compiled to run under 32bit computer so it cannot address more then 3gb of ram (forgot the exact number) before it crashes.
So lower the options which use most ram, turn off the recoding of the replay if you do not need it for example. Just fiddle with the settings until you can play even the bigger stages without crash. |

The limit is 1.8 GB RAM. When the game hits that limit, it crashes, no matter how good the computer is. |
